Skyline had way too many negative reviews although visually it might work. But nobody even remembers that movie. Hop was HORRIBLE.

Cowboys and Aliens, if done properly, would be a cool theme for a ride. I'd make it a combo of MIB shooting technology mixed with something like Transfomers. Have it have physical western sets, explosions, and use squinched projections of the UFOs.

Yeah it didn't do well. I kinda enjoyed parts of it. It was a good concept that wasn't executed in the best way.

I'd reserve Water World and the former tram garage (and possibly Shrek) to be used for Phase II of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 

 

But north and east of the Curious George Parking Garage I'd but Beetlejuice's Rock and Roll Coaster.

I wasn't amazed by the movie but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the cast. I LOOOOVED the concept and was hoping it would do well. Would've made a great attraction!

And Beetlejuice would've made an epic ride....so many possibilities.

What about turning Water World into a water ride with the same theme and sets? So instead of watching a show you would ride through it with all sorts of special effects and a drop (flume/chute). I like the show but it's getting a little old as is the bad acting and dumb jokes.

i gotta admit waterworld might of been good for a water ride that has already passed sadly. I do like you already though also.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Yeah Alexshow I thought WaterWorld was a little dated too. The show certainly is. But then I thought of the other US water rides- Jurassic, Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw and Popeye which are all older that WW. I'd really like to see USH get a water ride and I'm not sure I'd want cartoon themes. If you don't like Water World as theme (and I get that) I'm curious what theme you think would make a good water ride?

Jurassic is about the same age as WaterWorld, but Dudley and Popeye were created when Islands of Adventure opened in 1999.


As for the water ride itself, do guests really want another water experience? I'm sure they can find or create a franchise that works if they wanted to push through, so that's not my biggest concern. But I'm wondering if Hollywood guests would be willing to forgo other experiences in favor of something water-based.

I'd rather have other types of rides in USH than water rides....but an easy theme for a water ride could be The Lorax. Many scenes that just looked like water ride scenes.

I think that if they do get the license for Lord of the Rings (which seems hard due to some legal battle with the Tolkien estate) a ride based on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug with the barrels in the river would be awesome... wait to see the movie and you'll know what I mean

I sincerely feel that the Tolkien estate will eventually cave in and sell the theme park rights. And I know with all my heart that Universal will be the one that purchases them.


I wish it was NOW though so Universal would be able to capitalize on all the recent and upcoming movies.

i can really remember what site i was in when i had read that once harry potter opens that they are going to start some type of construction in the lower lot , dont know if its an attraction or something else. but i would like to see new Jurassic park ride ,(jeep rise) being that a new movie is on its way. any one else know anything about the lower construction?
