I haven't read all the posts on this thread, so I'm not sure if someone else has said this, but how would you feel if they moved poseidon's fury to this water park? This is just a thought, but considering WWoHP is going probably going to expand into LC's current space, and supposedly the park is water themed, it could be a good fit.

What do you think?

I don't think it would work in a water park setting. Wet people with bare feet indoors is no good IMO. But this gets me thinking, it would be kind of neat if they built, in addition to the water park, a small theme park, centered around ancient myths and legends. There's definetely enough space. They could move/rebuild Poseidon and Sindbad and add more rides and attractions to make it a full-fledged park. I mean at least they'd be able to save Mythos and the Fountain if HP took over...

Ya'll our the ones being mean picking at a kid cause i wanna stating some of my opinions i believe and what i would like and think will happen.

Okay, this is gonna be my last post off topic on this thread, I swear.

I'm sorry if you feel like we're picking on you. You came in, and insulted another member of this forum, when he simply asked our opinion on a topic. He brought up a topic for discussion, that's all. We believed him because he has been proven to be trustworthy in the past. You were a fairly new member when you posted what someone told you, and, if I remember correctly, you kept switching back and forth between whether it was your opinion, or what someone told you.
Also, and I will delete this if anyone thinks this is me picking on him, could you please try to use better grammar and spelling? This reduces your credibility even more.
And please don't say that we're "being mean picking at a kid cause you wanna stating some of your opinions. That's ridiculous on so many levels, the main one being that you're not a kid to some of us, for instance me, who's 15, 2 whole years younger than you. Again, this is my last post on this, and I will now get :focus:

Honestly it would be a waste of money to "rebuild" a part of LC elsewhere because it's not new and it wouldn't excite people. But I am for the WWoHP expansion because, although it is impressive, it's definitely smaller than other lands in the park. I remember taking a survey on the idea of a water park and they asked questions like "would you like to see attractions themed to movies, etc." Honestly I would love to see a more "movie" based park then "IOA atomospheric" park because it would be great to see Universal return to the original movie roots.

Well I meant, in this new park idea (that I honestly just thought of after reading Codeblak's post, so I'm just forming ideas), for more to go in than just what is in LC now. It would be neat if they implemented new technologies, or even just things that would be new to the Central Florida scene. And imo it would be awesome if the rumored water park was based on classic Uni movies, but I think we should keep the movie-related theme park attractions to the Studios.

I say build a water park/ IOA quality theme park hybrid and call it SKULL ISLAND :kingkong:
You can have regular water park stuff like slides and lazy rivers and whatnot, but why not also have a super-rad dark ride where you float through a cave on skull island and encounter Kong? This would make a water park more appealing to more people

--- Update ---

why does this thing say I'm a believer? How do you change that thing?

I would much rather see a water park that is themed like the Waterpark at Atlantis than to movies. I just don't see how you can translate film to waterslides. I get film to rides. That makes sense but...waterslides....

I really hope the name ends up changing for this. "Wondersea Island" just seems lazy to me. Plus, this being a seperate gate, i would like them to stay away from the word "Island", since we already have Islands of adventure. It would seem like they are trying to group IOA and the waterpark together. On the other hand, maybe they ARE trying to group them together. "Islands of adventure's new waterpark, Wondersea Island" PLEASE NO!

Yeah, that does seem kind of weird. But if anyone can do it, Uni can!

Oh, that's the role of Universal Creative then! Just imagine being taken down a stream in a raft through some ancient ruins, then being trapped in a show area with PF-like effects, then being spat out by workers (costumed, of course) into multiple water slides where the story continues. Or maybe tour a mountain's many caverns and have various options of "escaping" like a dark/water ride (AquaTrax system, anyone?) or braving the waterfall on the peak of the mountain, etc. The idea of a water park has so many possibilities that will all work out if executed well, which I'm sure Universal will do with this.

In terms of the name and the theme, I'm sure that the entirety of the project will have its own backstory, perhaps related to IOA (like in my Legendary Seas project), but not anything like "IOA's waterpark!"

This. I would DIE if something like Atlantis came to Universal. It's such an amazing park. Orlando could use a water park of its quality.

Highly themed waterparks exist. Aquatica, Atlantis Waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and numerous others that I can not think of (there are a lot in Europe). If a film studio themed waterpark doesn't exist it's probably more logistics than anything else because I'm sure someone has pitched and designed one. I feel that if Universal does a highly themed waterpark it'll be similar to the ones I mentioned earlier. When you get into logistics it just makes sense.

Dude... wet floors indoors with thousands of different feet every day... a breeding ground for mold, fungi, and bacteria. That is NOT healthy.

I absolutely LOVE that idea. The thing that makes IOA so amazing (and IMO the best theme park in Orlando) is the fact that the story is so important to the park. Even if the islands aren't really tied together, the attractions within are so intertwined to each land that you really feel like you're in the Seuss books, or are on Jurassic Park, or whatever place you're supposed to be in. Universal has shown they can do that more than once with HP, so there's no excuse they for them not to do it again. It's something that Disney, Busch/Sea, and even it's sister park doesn't really do, but what makes IOA so special. I suggested the idea of moving PF not entirely because it's an attraction that's in danger of being closed (although that is part of it), but mainly because the concept of it is so epic. Like Mantaguy said, they could really do a fantastic park around Myths and legends, and I think a water park is just the place to do something like that.

1. At most water parks, the attractions are limited to 1-4 people at a time, so if you do something deeply story based that really gives that feeling to the guest of "Wow, this is really happening to ME and no one else," you're doing something few have done before.

2. When you're not limited by some giant ride vehicle, or fitting a large number of people to fill an area, you can put people into really tight spaces. When it comes to things like dark rides, the one thing about them that takes away from it is the fact that everything is (for the most part) far away. That's one of the things that FJ got so well, and just think how they could make an experience like that, even... smaller. lol

So... yeah.

I think a movies theme would work for a water park, but not a movie studio theme. Take the sci-fi city section at Universal Singapore, for example. If there were different sections dedicated to certain movie genres it could be really cool
