I agree. Like have actual entertainment performers warm up the crowd.

I mean…AOV kinda tried it in 2018 before the show and it was cringe to say the least.

I’d rather let the ops staff have their moment to let loose and have fun with the song.

I think I agree. there's a charm to the fact that they aren't professional dancers. even if it's silly or they try to hard, there's something kind of charming to see staff have fun. its not something you see often and it's unexpected and makes people laugh
like seeing your boss dance before a meeting lol

if it was the professional dancers hyping up the crowd, it would kind of lose that aspect,

Watched it twice now and it’s a great show, but is falling stale.

I think HNF deserves to be at the event each year, but a 2nd stage show is necessary to offer some variety.

The biggest problem is ops of it all. Having to get there over 30 minutes before the show, and the tedious entry process.

Yeah, a bit of a pain point unfortunately. Having to arrive 30 mins prior is a capacity issue however. High demand for exclusive HHN experiences that don't require you to have to queue up... even though you end up waiting anyway.

During S&S, they have an extended queue setup from the FFL/Diagon gate all the way to the end of the road. So for HNF, they use the entirety of it while leaving the area in front of FFL clear to reduce congestion during the entry/exit process.

The ops team here does well for the unfortunate circumstances they are forced to work with and how fast they can fill that theater in ~20 mins.

Saw this for the first time last night. Tried to see it last weekend but the line for it was all the way back to Diagion. The show didn’t disappoint if u love the NF shows. It was a great show. I loved how they referred to it as sexy in the pre show warning.

For those who have been in-person, how early should I queue up to get a fairly center view?

Additionally, have you noticed if it’s easier to make a specific showtime (first or last, perhaps)?

For a good seat? I'd say get there 40 minutes prior to showtime.

well last year I would go to wait 50 to 60 minutes beforehand. ( yeah it sounds extreme but I got a front middle seat guaranteed..... !) best chair. right in the middle

if you don't care about the houses and wanna see the show, the earlier shows are less crazy, people are running for the houses at 7 pm, so that early show is kind of easier to get to ( and the afternoon sunset helps to see it better)

after 9 or 10 pm that area is crazy.

Yeah I agree the first show isn’t as crowded as the later showings.

I liked the pacing between action and suspense/slow moments of last year's show. Doing different stories each year is fine but there needed to be more oomph in the story department.

A breather moment I liked from last year (13:47):

Definitely would've liked to have seen something like that again which wasn't all fast-action and fire.

I had a similar thought when watching it the first time and really noticed it the second time. There's a lot of different things happening at once during one part of the show where it's overwhelming and there's almost too much to look at.

One point in particular I really liked but it's buried in the action of everyone else is the one where the performer's legs are pushing the table and her torso is on the other side. Both times I saw it but just as it was leaving the stage.

I get some things are done as a distraction/misdirect while they're setting other things up. It just felt like there was a couple of moments where there were too many distractions to properly enjoy any one performer's routine.

FWIW the two times I entered the line about ~25 minutes before the show and got one of two sides. I'd echo the 40 minutes ahead if you're trying to get the middle section.

Finally got around to seeing this. Really like the circus theme, but compared to the past renditions, Nocturnal Circus is by far the weakest.

For me, it started falling stale last year lol. If we could get something completely different from HNF, basically a palate cleanser compared to the rest of the event, I wouldn't mind letting HNF stick around. Let HNF be the horror/intense show and the 2nd stage show be on the comedic side and perhaps more story-driven.

I feel like this year was their effort to make it as different as possible, but the show is just the way it is, and I don't see how they could dramatically change it
