Nintendo Coming to Universal Parks

So why wouldn't the super fans come to Orlando, which is going to have a bigger, better, more complete version of Super Nintendo World even after visiting it in Hollywood? Needless to say, Harry Potter has caused a ton of repeat business by its fans in the parks in Orlando. I'd be surprised if Hollywood is not first at this point. I'm also still predicting Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario ALL go to the third park and probably open together. I'm guessing Hello Kitty to Kid Zone for sure, and maybe Spongebob if they decide its not worthy of a spot at the new park. I don't see why Nintendo would want their properties seperated, and I think they have the final say in that. Plus having Nintendo properties take up a third or more of the new park is likely to look more impressive then little pieces in each one. Maybe some smaller Nintendo IP can join Hello Kitty as a Kid Zone upgrade.

They would split it like they split Harry Potter for multi park ticket sales. Why let the super huge Nintendo fans cheap out on a single park ticket when you can make them go to all the parks and extend their stay possibly at an on-site hotel? Not to mention Nintendo would likely get more money out of that as well.

Nintendo holds the trademark for Pokémon and this is part of a plan to distribute Nintendo out to all the properties, much like Harry Potter.

Really? You don’t think all the biggest fans that aren’t able to go to Japan will wait years after Hollywood just for it to open in Orlando? I’ll remind you that fans are a big part of the reason Hogsmeade had such insane pull. Fans from all over the world came to see it and fans are an impatient bunch.

So if all these fans will be going to Hollywood because they can't wait for Orlando, why wouldn't they go with you to Japan for the Opening so they don't have to wait?

I'd assume if they dropped the original mario plans at the last minute for the new park, the new layout is *much* more than the old one and a lot less constrained by the existing space. That said, I still expect parts of KidZone to close before the end of the year and the central park path widening is (partially, but shared with the new show) a part of that.

It just sounds right now like there's a weird feedback loop between the speculation and what's being reported as far as Orlando goes.

Pokemon to KZ, Zelda to LC, and Mario (and co) to the 3rd dry park makes the most sense in terms of speculation, but it just seems like that speculation is being reported as news...

I'd still like to see more of the insiders here confirm the Pokemon to KZ idea before I take it as the assumed outcome.

Being that I'm from California and the fact the last couple of Florida trips for me nearly drained my family's budget, I'm actually really looking forward the SNW L.A. It's a bummer that we have to wait for the Orlando version, but the SNW Orlando I guarantee you will be better than anything even HP has to offer, anything that SNW Japan and Hollywood has to offer as well. I wouldn't want Universal to rush through their announcements like Disney though. It would A) Make projects seem longer (Pandora) B) Cause families to delay their vacations to wait for the new attractions to open (like with the attendance drop before 2010 with HP opening).

SNW L.A. might get it first before Orlando due to the park being smaller than the two parks. It's about time considering the fact the Lower Lot has not seen any activity for decades.

I now this is not in the cards, but I'm hoping Animal Actors gets a stay of execution. Last time we saw it (June 2017) they showed a trainer who saw the show as a child and made it their dream to be in the show as a trainer. And they were a trainer when we saw it!

Considering Comcast just ported over rides from California. I find the idea that Mario Kart or whatever gets added to park 3/4 is going to be heavily plussed as shear obtmisim. We have a higher chance of more retail stores or a meet and greet arena, then all new rides. I guess time will tell.

Either we get it before Orlando or that we might get it years before the 2028 L.A. Olympics -- which could be really beneficial for Universal as its parent company NBCUniversal holds the exclusive rights to the Olympics. Right now, it's all speculation, but I'm hoping SNW would come to Hollywood a bit sooner than we realize.

It’s already longer than that for Orlando concerning Mario. It’ll be 8 years. 7 if you want to count from when we got concept art and official confirmation for Orlando.

Depending on when and where you’re flying from, the cost difference isn’t that astronomical. Tokyo disney is significantly less expensive as well to stay on-site vs disney world.

Plus, you know, youll get to tour Japan- which is one of the safest, respectful and amazing countries in the world.
