Will be interesting. I know a couple Disney Moms or soon to be Disney moms and honestly some of them fear going to Universal. I have no clue why, nor do I know if Nintendo will change their mind. The one mom has kids in the HP age range and still won't get Uni passes. They live closer to Uni than they do Disney (just moved to Orlando to be closer to Disney) and still nada. I did get them to get Sea World passes when they were buy one get one. Maybe getting them to branch out a little will have them try Uni eventually.

Because Disney is all they want. Also should be noted they're a smaller and smaller group as time goes on. Universal knows they don't have to cater to that crowd.

lol - We used a single wide double stroller, those double wides are a pain to get thru doors, I don't know why anyone gets them.

What is funny is we don't use the double stroller for my 2 kids, we have a single for our 1 year old. But it never fails my 5 year old ends up in the stroller and I end up having my 1 year old in a carrier on me. It is a pain to get her in and out of the stroller to get in lines. We obviously didn't have that issue when my twins were young as the stroller was considered a wheelchair. But seriously is a pain. But then I don't want to not bring a stroller because I need a place for the diaper bag. I am not wearing both my kid and a diaper bag lol But when we went to MK we ended up parking the stroller at the tea cups and doing all of fantasy land and then came back to get the stroller before moving onto tomorrowland. They really are a pain and I don't know why parents use them for their older children. If it is just my 5 year old, we do not bring a stroller or a bag. It was so nice walking into Universal in the no bag line, I hadn't done that in years!!!

I don't really think Nintendo draws the "Disney Mom" demographic much. Sure they are more likely to own a Nintendo console than a PS or Xbox, but I don't think that Nintendo is going to change Universal's social media dynamic much as far as "Mommy Bloggers" go.

I was under the impression that it'd be nearly impossible to do Nintendo without screens. I can't even wrap my thoughts around it. Way to go UC if they pull this off.

What did you think would be so impossible without screens? Which IP of theirs leaves you thinking this?

It's not so much me thinking it would be 'impossible' more so than I didn't think they would. In my own mind I couldn't picture a ride based on a video game without some use of screens..which Uni does so well. But with that being said I am pleasantly surprised and can't wait to see what comes of it.

I actually think Nintendo is way easier to do without screens than most of the rides Universal creates. Most of their attractions focus on well-known stars that are not easy to replicate in AA form. In fact, I'd argue there's maybe one AA of that type that looks any good (Obama in HoP). But cartoon, or in this case video game, characters are easy.

I think we'll see the beginnings of this in Kong, which will have some cool AAs

^ Not to argue, but you should remember that Gringotts is pretty full of animated robotics, not to mention the stuff loaded into the windows in Diagon.

This is pretty much what I've been thinking since I first heard about a Nintendo attraction. Because a lot of their characters have remained fairly cartoon like and not went realistic like a lot of other computer games, making them perfect for AAs.

Once you start to think of the IPs as more like cartoons with a story, it adds a lot of freedom to what your imagine can think up.

I also think because most people would expect a lot of screens or VR, then this is the one ride Universal should really push the boat out using AAs.

In WDW he works. In DL I felt like you're too close to the figure and it looked off for some reason. Can't explain why.

Some examples of Universal's family themed areas/dark rides that have no screens

I'm not entirely sure if UC built Universal Wonderland, seems like a few of the USJ attractions are not done by UC.

I wonder, is the Wonderland area in USJ where Nintendo is going over there or do they have expansion space?
