Remember JS, the raptor tapped because she had her quarry close... very close, and she knew it. I will probably have to go dark on this thread for a month or more. I will share that they appear to be pulling in a bunker buster not developed by Lockheed Martin. Oooooooh!

I patiently await your first hints to see if they lineup with stuff we've discussed in the past, and whether or not things are as...imminent as they seem.

Hmmmm.... they are getting more land somewhere very close? That is the only thing I can think Teebs hints mean. But I could be totally off base.

I think his close comments is more that he's close to getting some solid information on the Nintendo project.

Yeah, scratch that mention of lockheed. I used it inappropriately in this case and it has nothing to do with anything here. Sorry!

I originally interpreted it as a munitions/bomber/bomb manufacturer, not a close to Universal site, so it wasn't too off key. :)So this is going to be a big bang innovative out of sight attraction?

So upon reading the Wikipedia page for bunker buster, I stumbled upon this. Coincidence? image.png

As I think more about it, I have to think we atleast have a few months right? I do think it will be shuttered before Spring break hits though but we'll see what happens there..

I really wonder if Uni has any smaller offerings up their sleeve for the months after KidZone closes. Losing Disaster and Twister is a relatively big hit to the park's capacity, but KidZone is gonna make it even worse. Especially for families, as US is gonna be losing its "playground" area.

I have no idea and never will. Anyone else know?

Well, kidzone wouldn't impact either of those attractions so I doubt it would matter either way. Perhaps they have plans for a temporary carousel in the concert courtyard or something.

I think people worrying about USF next year have to look at the overall resort situation. We learned during the last earnings report that 3/4 of all guests have park-to-park tickets. That means, for all intents and purposes, the resort is one big park for the vast majority of guests. Sure, USF will be a big park of walls next year, but that's also the year new Hulk and Kong will draw guests over to the other side. Then the next year you get F&F and Fallon. If you can get Nintendo open the year after that, don't you want to do it? I know I would.

You sacrifice a few months of crowded, wall ridden USF to get 3 years of big, legitimate additions in a row.

Also, I think a lot of people are overvaluing the draw of Twister, Disaster, and KidZone. Yea, having them all closed at once will be noticeable, but none of them were what guests were there to see

Yes, I think you're right. And it basically is just one big park now. I used to usually just do one park a day. Now, I park hop without exception, and love riding Hogwart's Express for the move. And, even with the construction walls & shuttered attractions, the Studios' added a ton of capacity the past few years with Transformers, the Springfield redo, Diagon Alley/London with Gringott's & HE. So the park isn't exactly in the DHS mode. It will still have more capacity than it did prior to those expansions.

Interesting that some of the same people who think closing several rides in HS is gonna kill the park but closing 3 rides and 2 shows is no biggie in US. Just an observation.

DHS doesn't have Diagon Alleg, Springfield, Transformers, and Minion Mayhem.
