Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of a mine cart being the main focus of DK? I love the idea of having it incorporated in some way, but to have two rides in the same park that take place in a mine cavern?

Assuming DK is happening, it could feature both indoor and outdoor sections similar to Big Thunder. The jungle theming is also completely different from what Gringotts offers, and of course the characters/music will be radically different in tone. I could also see DK focusing a bit more on thrills compared to Gringotts' focus on story and characters. They may be similar on the most basic level, but I think they'll definitely stand apart.

the only thing Italian about Mario and Luigi, are the names. There is no reference to any Italian heritage or references to Italian foods in any of the games.

As far as a themed food area, I think they could probably come up with some drinks, like a "Power up Punch" or a "1-upcake" cupcake shaped like a green mushroom.

other then that, I would think it would be just standard American fare.

Not quite, Shigeru Miyamoto says he is Italian, but there's nothing else behind it

What is this a hack off? Always great to hear some 8-bit music :)

After walking through kidzone for the first time ever yesterday, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Woody Woodpecker's coaster was kept as the only overlay for a Diddy/donkey Kong coaster. It would be such an easy and obvious choice for them to make.

^^^^ Boo... don't say that. And no way it happens. They won't overlay that coaster.

I believe its been said already that the Nuthouse coaster would meet a bulldozer, but I can be proven wrong there.

I wouldn't think that was the type of attraction base that would have impressed Nintendo when Universal made their presentation of a dynamic land.

I wouldn't mind them keeping it on as something small, like Captain Toad or Yoshi themed. But the Donkey Kong coaster better be 10 times better than something like that.

There's no room for it. It'll be scrapped or sold.

I'd be fairly certain it would be sold even if it's just for parts, I think it's just a generic Vekoma coaster.

Disney will buy it, put a Princess face on it, and advertise it as a new groundbreaking E ticket , and it'll have two hour long standby lines.

That's a pretty optimistic opening date, by Disney standards.

I just thought of something. Something that always seemed a bit off at Universal to me were the arcades. What if whatever restaurant Nintendo has had a big arcade as part of it so the other ones can be used for other things? Also, were they always arcades? My first ever trip to Uni was much later than some of you guys so I wouldn't know. I did get to ride BTTF once though so I'm guessing it was about 2004-2006 because Mummy was already open too.

The only arcade I can remember was next to Earthquake, there may have been more though.

Been thinking about this too, Nintendo themselves should be able to come up with some great arcade stuff.

I seen this on Reddit earlier:

That's somebody's dentist. If they don't have games in the queues, I'll be slightly disappointed. Universal queues have been pretty good recently but this would be the greatest ever.

Pokken Tournament, the Luigi's Mansion arcade game they're making, the Mario Party one too, Mario Kart Arcade, and of course all the classics. They could make serious bank with that.

I'm thinking more like touch screen games while in line. Like building the car at Test Track.
