A couple of years ago a took and posted the first picture in this set. I always thought it needed help and perhaps some drama, and so I came across it today and went at it with silly gusto. There are a ton of blends and adjustment layers going on in the second picture but it was a fun exercise. A wee bit of Turner going on. ;)

Ocean Drive, Acadia National Park prior to being shut down two weeks ago. The trees are ocean storm ravaged pitch pines, Pinus rigida which somewhat resemble giant bonsai.

Damn, the name on that license plate sounds familiar. I heard it somewhere but my memory is blank. ;) :)

Endeavour retired at the California Science Center.

I'm finally getting a chance to fix some of my panoramic photos sorted from my trip last year.

^ Every time I see that fountain I think of the near-end scene in Oceans 11 with Clair de Lune playing in the soundtrack.

after so many mornings of walking UNI property over the years, we 'lucked' into a back yard with a view (in Central FL)

been meeting the community around the new (to us) home. When I have seen frogs of a different color (than I am use to), it has only been at the zoo and they were poisonous.

I must say I have never seen one of these before yesterday in our front yard.

Took a ride over to Somesville village this afternoon.

Somesville is the oldest village on the island located at the head of Somes Sound which nearly divides the island in half. The village has very strict building color laws... white or very pale gray.

Sand Hill cranes are the best. I always had a couple claim my fenced 4 acre lawn as their own and there would be a whole lot of honking if any other crane couple landed. You could set your clock to their arrival and departure each day.

Wild looking battleship gray yacht in the harbor this morning. Looks like something Jame Bond’s nemesis would arrive on! Cropped it hard so very grainy.
