In MidwayMayhem's most recent video, he mentions that Fallon is ahead of schedule and rumors say it could be open as soon as the Holiday time period.

Is there ANY substance to said rumor? That's certainly the earliest I've heard. It's always been around March from what I hear.

For Universal, it would seem like its a possibility. It certainly seems like they might be ahead of schedule. If it was Disney, I would be laughing my head off at the mere thought of being ahead of schedule.

Well it's a pretty simple screen attraction, tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if they are ahead either.

This wasn't the original plan at all. It was going to be late May early June of next year. Too, it would have to be accidental for it to happen as they would have to renegotiate with the vendors and that can be expensive.

They don't really need anything new this year so it wouldn't make sense to me.

With two rides and a show gone I think they could really use the extra capacity over at Universal Studios ASAP.

Your last point is why I don't believe it most. Kong and a new Hulk is enough for one year. No need to open ANOTHER attraction this year when it can be saved and marketed as their 2017 attraction (along with Volcano Bay and the CB Towers).

I would add to this slightly that do Universal really want to add a new ride during the busy Christmas period? It seems like a headache they could do without.

I honestly think this is another July opening for sure. Also LOL MidwayMayhem.

I think it's very possible they are planning to have the Tonight Show out again for the grand opening of this. I would imagine that requires some planning and they might not move plans up if that's the case. I could see this opening just before or at the beginning of summer to get the most publicity out of it.

Twister, eh, it was fun but never really had a lot of people on it. Disaster was in such bad shape they had no choice. It was breaking down constantly and was basically not economically viable to try to repair it.

ah, makes sense. half the time on Disaster you'd hear something like "watch out for that truck", and the truck would just stay in it's place.

Many of the effects quit working, but the worst was that the Tram was 'done for'. ....Twister was almost always slow, so it probably didn't matter much either. Plus their effects were also on their last legs. ....I would imagine they would have tried to get more time for Disaster if it wasn't in such bad shape.

I may have misstated this and I am sorry. I was thinking of severe changes to the plans sent out. It could probably work to rush it out if they were able to nicely ask each vendor if it was doable and the vendors agreed.

That said, I cannot imagine they would soft it during the holidays. I would more believe it if it was sped up for February. When is VB supposed to open?

March is what I've heard but the web just says by June 1st. Same time as the Cabana Bay towers.

I would think they would want VB in softs by April 1. That said, it just makes more sense for Fallon to open in June than any other time.

Goodness yes! Work started back around the time they were building the new CB parking garage. The foundations and other things have been poured.
