And if / when Disney starts making low quality attractions like modern Universal, I'll be right there front and center, more than happy to talk about what a huge disappointment they are too. Thankfully, based on guest feedback at Universal that I personally heard in person, and comments left on the videos for Kong and so on - people are waking up and realizing that 3D and screens are super boring.

"Jimmy Fallon is a cultural phenomenon. He is this generation's Dick Clark."

LOL, come on.

Two weeks till I see the new screens, hear the new roar, smell and taste all the sundaes, and feel the new mattresses at sapphire falls. Universal- a plethora of enjoyment for all your senses

Not to mention, meeting a giant mechanical Ape; there has been a lot of brand new and exciting things for people do . Regardless if it uses Screenz or not; the park's have been getting a great amount of content for everyone to enjoy. And for Fallon, I am excited on experiencing it mainly due to that Fallon can be extremely funny. And that it finally makes a change that was undone when Ghostbusters left USF, cohesively making it fit to New York.

Regardless of my feelings of the attraction, I'm honestly just really excited that the really bad Twister facade is getting this grand update to match Rockefeller Center and make the whole NY area of the park look even better.

He's just a troll. No need to feed him. All of his posts since he's come on site are like that. Ignore him & he'll ultimately go back to Never Never land.

Personally, I just sit out the arguments. Life is too short to be having arguments on online forums.

I'm kinda said though we aren't getting a full fledged Rockfeller Plaza with a all year round ice skating rink. That would be icing on the cake especially in the winter time.

I would love to see that too, although I would think the only way of having that is if the New York Plaza next to Transformers goes; yes?

I had him on ignore for a good while. I just canceled & cleaned up my ignore list of two people the other day, and what do you know, he pops up this weekend after a long absence. Guess I gotta put him back on ignore again. He is aggravating to say the least. I find him impossible to be civil with. Oh well, time to put him back where he is best suited. Ignore #1 big time. :censored:

There seems to be this "OH YEAH?! WELL DISNEY SUCKS MORE!!" mentality on these forums.

While I can’t endorse much of your other rhetoric, you’re not totally wrong on this point. It seems some on this board often react to any criticism of Universal’s favored approach of late by immediately bringing up Disney, which can come across - sometimes - like a defensive deflection tactic.

Yes, Disney is going to be following Universal’s lead with its major attractions over the next couple years. Some of us have equally strong feelings about that prospect, and if this were a Disney-related thread, I’d be happy to expound on those feelings.

But anyway, Jimmy Fallon… the final result may end up being fun as an experience, but Fallon’s personality grates on me, and if the totality of the ride ends up feeling markedly different from Minion Mayhem (its next door neighbor), I’ll be shocked. It also marks a drift back to TV for inspiration, which I find less thrilling (as a source for ride ideas) than the cinema, which tends to offer more grand and engrossing opportunities. There have always been exceptions, but USF has always been the “Ride the Movies” park to me, and Fallon is a step away from that.

We do have SLoP and Nintendo coming to Universal as more physically based projects and I think the Mickey ride for Disney. Either way I just want them all to be good. I'm very excited for both Avatar and Star Wars despite the "screenz." Not excited for F&F.

I just want to come off those rides saying to myself, "Wow! That was unlike anything I've ever been on before!" That was my reaction to Spider-Man, and I haven't felt it since, though Forbidden Journey and Revenge of the Mummy came close.

I don't want to come off those rides saying, "Well, it was fun, but <insert other ride here> did it first/better."

ETA: I'm talking about simulators or dark ride hybrids or trackless things. I'm always ready to eat up a dark ride or boat ride in a more classic style, because those are the things that fueled my love for theme parks. Is it unfair to have different standards like that? Yes, but I try be honest and up front about it.

With James Cameron involved I doubt Flight of Passage will feel too similar to Soarin'. The guy pushes for the absolute best. I could easily see it being one of the absolute best 3D rides built to date. Not to mention the surprising enthusiasm @Disneyhead has for the project.

For SWL the screen use on the Battle ride has been compared to Shanghai's Pirates and that WDI is also throwing every trick they've got at it. The Falcon just kind of confuses me but doesn't sound like anything else I've ridden.

MIB is a masterpiece of its kind. There's no more fun interactive ride on the planet that I've encountered.

The presence of Cameron riding herd on Avatar gives me a lot of hope for the project as a whole (though not necessarily for the attractions). I'm 100% confident that the land itself will be jaw-dropping, and could give Diagon Alley a run for its money in terms of the level of detail. The rides are another question.

Re: the Falcon ride, I'm just not sure what new is being brought to the table, aside from the supposed interactive element. It seems like it's going to be incredibly similar to Star Tours, albeit apparently on some kind of track.
