Tom Cruise rarely does crap films these days. Keep in mind I cannot stand him as a person.

I can't stand him as a person but I think he's a great actor, usually makes for good movies.

I don't like him much either way. When it comes to his acting, I find him too plastic, then under the right director he does good, so though he is not a good actor, he is good at taking directions perhaps. For the longest time I avoided "Eyes Wide Shut" because it had him in it, however, when I finally saw it I find he did work in the movie, then of course, Kubrick was one of the greatest directors ever and so knew how to use Cruise ...

It looks like instead of "Where's my cup of coffee?!" we may find ourselves saying "Where's our Brendan Fraser?!"

I heard that Mummy is offering a tour now called "The Production Tour." Is this actually a thing?

They've done it for awhile. Similar to the immigration tour in MIB

I'm seriously curios as to how I never hear of this. I only knew of the immigration tour and the control booth tour at Twister. Are there any others?

Castle tour at Hogwarts, but it's really just a walk through the line.

I've never done it, but I heard you get to go underneath the track and look around.

from the UOAP group:
Our guide took us through various points in the line explaining the props that are one display. Told us where the Kong statue and hidden E.T. are. Got to take a peek under the tracks. Then he took us on the ride and pointed a couple of things out. Really cool experience. I highly recommend it....and its Free

Did that one for the first time today... saw the additional queue rooms that I never knew existed (luckily) and went under the tracks which was neat. Tour guide then rides with you and points out cool things!

MIB your is free and very accessible. I'd highly recommend it. One of my personal coolest Universal memories.

I've seen plenty of people doing this on UOAP FB but I always figured that it was a paid for tour or for VIPs.

I'll need to try these next time I'm there. How do you book it?

You walk up to the greeters and ask for the Prouction Tour at Mummy or the Immigration Room Tour at MIB.

Just be warned that you might have to be persistent, depending on staffing. I visited for ten days in September and was probably told no 25 times, given different reasons every time (I was always very polite and always asked different staff). Literally, on the last day, our last ditch effort - they had someone available to do it. Being a Mummy lover, I loved every moment of it - but the "under the track" part was very brief. Still, totally worth doing.

Total off the cuff rumour, but apparently orders have been placed for set peices for mummy, and seeing a recent post that stock in the mummy store is running low/being filled with generic uni stock, I'd say a refurb/rebrand is on the way sooner rather than later, I didn't think they would close it before fallon or FF but the evidence points to sooner rather than later

It'll still be the mummy, but it's either a major refurb or story change to fit into the new movie, I'd bet Q1 2017 for a few weeks of downtime maybe? I only hope the lift hill is given much needed tlc

If it's more major than a refurb, I'd imagine we'd be hearing about it soon. Maybe right after the new year?

I'd imagine if it's almost good to go, they'll wait until Fallon is open otherwise the whole back of the park is going to be a ghost town.
