Didn't someone say before the gates did work, they just didn't use them during park hours?

I've alway been on the same page as you AliciaStella.

Not seeing the vehicles approach the gate with it opening and closing hold my excitement 10 fold.

But to the conversation I started. I absolutely would be on team softs as soon as possible. Because I've missed out on the small window of cool features of the past that were killed or limited when I actually rode it due to technical difficulties or 'tone down'

Softs are almost the small window where on a good day....you are getting the true ride that was the designers real vision.

Oh yea, I totally agree there. I've been on Countdown to Extinction's original version for Cast Member previews along with Mission Space and they got toned down almost immediately after opening to the public.

I don't think they would tone down Kong, at least not that much, because this ride is suppose to be terrifying, unlike mission space.

I think that the doors are open intentionally to make the inside more accessible. To be honest, I sort of doubt that they're having trouble opening and closing a door.

I don't worry for the ride as much as i worry for the queue.

I would like to experience softs so I can get in on any potential lawsuits. ;-)

I also got on an early version of CTE when I was younger. It was amazing.
I still think the blackout to Carnataurus charging/chase is one of the best 'scenes' of a ride that was lost per say.

Although I was told for that particular scene it also had to do with technical issues.

Granted I was little but I still don't think a ride will ever invoke fear and realism again as much as Alien Ecounter did.

The doors work, yea. It's timing the doors with the RVs, sound, show elements, etc. I'm looking for. When I start seeing everything working at the same time I'll start jumping up and down for joy. Until then I'm assuming there's still kinks to work out somewhere, and everything else might be turned off while they work on individual show elements one by one.

I would not be surprised if softs started before the doors are running 100%

You contradict yourself by wanting everything at once to work AND by wanting to enjoy softs.

Just noticed this in my video from today, not sure if anyone's posted it:

Looks like "ATTRACTION ENTRANCE" on the left and something blanked out ENTRANCE on the right. Maybe just for softs no Express lane, so it's blocked off?

If it's like most things, I'm willing to bet the 22nd and 23rd probably won't be great days, as the day before and the day of are largely taken up by media stuff.

I worded that oddly, I meant that they could be leaving the doors open for when they're following the vehicles.

For new people, or those wondering about Soft Openings, we have updated the first post to include a mention about what soft opening is, and we will post when it begins its technical rehearsals.
