No news on the Kong thread in many hours. I hope that means no news is good news.:)

8:30 p.m.: Every other truck running empty (but they have lights on the trucks for night!). Single rider closed. Trash cans overflowing in queue.

Trucks are running REALLY slow. Must not be many on the track.

How is the wait?

As for the trash, this is a design flaw. They should have built utilidoors and underground tunnels and dumped all the trash directly into there.:ears::pixie:

I'd be surprised if even two trucks were running. It is really bad. Line is not moving. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a two hour wait. :(

7-8 minutes per truck!!!

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like it is better to get to Kong earlier rather than later in the day.

They closed off the queue sometime between 8:30 and 8:45. Still in the outside queue after 45 minutes and they are not using all the switchbacks.

As I said two days ago, this will be interesting. I guess I was somewhat correct.

Little girl with crappy parents. There are tons of warnings about the ride being not for little ones.
Like the idiot parents who took a preschooler to ID4 last week, kid is crying parents are mad cause they have to leave. What do they expect?
It makes me mad when I see parents putting kids in situations that are bound to scare them. We never in 5 visits to Disneyland saw a single firework show because we had a kid who was terrified of the sounds of fireworks. Yeah, I really wanted to see the show, but I was a parent and that means sometimes I don't get what I want.
Sorry, mini rant.:fist:

Sounds like they had a pretty good day. It ran all day with expected wait times for a holiday weekend AND a brand new ride.

Cutting the queue early is pretty crappy. Getting out of work on time just because you're in tech rehearsals makes the rest of the park loathe you. Just sayin Kong people. Just sayin.

It isn't like staying open late to clear a queue is unheard of.

Do you really believe they cleared the queue because the staff wanted to leave early? Or are you speculating based on frustration with the rides open hours?

If the ride is running after the queue is cut prior to park closing then yes, it is because they want to go home when their shift ends. Not early, but at their scheduled out time.

I guess I would be hesitant to make that sort of assumption. We really can't know for sure why they clear the queue. Maybe they had a problem and didn't think the ride was going to be working correctly? That it needs time for the crew to work on problems? It stinks when you want to ride, and they send you away. We arrive in a month and a half. I hope they get it working well enough that we can ride, but I expect ride breakdowns.
