Wait times are calculated based on both the number of vehicles running and length of the queue. It's not updated in real time, though, so there is some delay in accurate times. There is some pressure to keep rider counts high and wait times low.

I would say Kong might be over inflated until they get a better handle on the capacity flow and downtimes. Every other ride is pretty accurate.

Every single time I am there I stand in front of a ride and the wait time says something completely different from the app. Then the actual wait time is different from the posted wait time outside of the ride. The good news is it is normally inflated wait times, but I have gotten the occasional one where the wait time says one thing and you end up waiting way later.

I don't know how they handle the app. There might be some delay between changing the wait time manually at the sign and reporting and posting it on the app. There will always be some margin of error on wait times, though. Google can't always get traffic times rights.

That's the thing I don't like about Express. It's not in Universals best interest to have low wait times. I know Kong doesn't have express YET but if the park has low wait times, there would be no need for Express.

I can tell you that 75% of the time it is not accurate. If I am close enough to the ride I don't trust it and just walk up to the ride. I tried using it once to plan our path and it was so off we ended up going towards a ride with a 60 minute wait that was posted 30 in the app. It is honestly pretty useless. Not to mention it is clunky as anything since it doesn't save your filters. It also doesn't seem to have a way to easily update it. You sometimes have to exit and come back in just to get it to update the times. Which is probably why it always seems so inaccurate.

Very few attractions are at a point where they type in a wait time, the sign posts that wait time, and the wait time shows on the app as the same.

And even with those, if they change it out front manually it won't show on the app.

For example, at Journey the opening and closing of the forest loops are at the discretion of the greeters and not really in the camera coverage of the ride booth. If it is open because of a backup or rush of people it bumps the wait time up 15 mins or so.

Just got in single rider line as the wait time jumped to one hour from 45 when we were walking up.

You do skirt the witch scene but the. It's just empty cave halls with only a few carvings. It's pretty boring. But seems to move, albeit slowly. Will report the total time waited for singles.

Posted wait is 50 and they are only using a little bit of the outside queue.

Went on it tonight too and waited about 30 minutes.

Got in line for singles around 5:00PM today. Posted standby wait was 60 minutes, and I waited about 45 in single riders (started maybe halfway down the hallway before the first warning sign). Probably won't go for singles again since it wasn't moving super well, but it was whatever. Pretty spacious in there, though!

360 motion base still seems to kick in a bit late when the vehicle accelerates. We also lost sync with the 360 film by a few seconds partway through; though it didn't seem like many guests noticed. The outdoor section was pretty neat in the rain - guess wet weather is fine as long as there's no lightning.
