two boo holes in the hallways and one spot before you enter the final room.. you will be able to tell if they are there. My 10 year old was fine with it after being nervous about what could happen - especially since he knew it was coming

How long is the jump scare part of the queue? My kids definitely want to ride Kong and will be fine with a couple of jump scares, but if it is ongoing I think it would be a little much for them. At that point we might skip the queue and use the child swap.

They definitely know it will be coming and seem to be excited about the queue... but being in there might be a different story. My 5 year old daughter does not get scared by anything... but my 7 year old son "thinks" he likes to be scared.
Thanks, Darby427!

They're all on the right side shortly after the witch room, so if they get scared they can look to the left.

Great tip for those with kids, or those that are feint of heart scaredy cats.

When I was there, TMs were warning guests about the temple portion of the queue being loud, dark, and scary.

Do they talk about live actors? Just curious because Mummy can be loud, dark, and scary, but my daughter will go thru that line and wait in child swap with no issues. She is not tall enough to ride the ride yet.

I believe they are sending the waiting Child Swap people in the exit to the unload area avoiding the queue. The other adult(s) waits in line.

Awesome! This is what I wanted to hear. That they are telling people to do child swap thru the exit.

I suspect the scare actors can see who is outside their hiding place, since one of them played a little game with my kids this weekend just sticking his hand up and wiggling his fingers. I doubt they want to full-on jump out at little kids.

Isn't this the first attraction to have Roof Projections for Universal's Parks and Resorts?

Most rides don't want you looking at the ceiling where the hardware is. Since it is 360 it could be the first.

The Spider Signal gets pretty high up the walls, but then that's wall crawlers for you. ;)

I guess "all effects" would include the transition as well. So, was it fate that intervened and said "no Mike. You shall ride when everything's working. And you will love it" ;)

Expect to be disappointed. It's like sitting at home watching a VHS on a 19" CRT TV.

Great sarcasm....A nice slap at the "Heh, I watch all my Universal theme park screen rides on You Tube. I don't need to go to a stinkin Universal theme park. If it's not a Disney boat ride with AA dolls, it's just no good" crowd.

My mind can't wrap around what a roof projection would look like for some reason :(
