Also the projection effects seem to be hit or miss so far. I noticed them in bug scene and 360 scene. They need some tweaking but add to the experience imo.

The fact that @hatetofly liked this post, and the context of what I was replying to, makes me very excited

Edit: does the "like" count as confirmation or no?

I was back around Kong at about 5 and it was a posted 105 min wait. It must have gone down a bit right after I saw that and moved on. Didn't see any cycling at the time but that could just be because the weather was bad and they were using the bypass.

Kong not open with the park this morning. Not a good start to my 3 days of trying to ride this thing.

If I am thinking correctly, I believe it only opened with the park for the July 4th weekend. Every day since the 4th last week it did not open with the park (I think). I assume they were taking the extra time to make adjustments. They were cycling trucks empty for more than two hours before opening when I was there last Tuesday.

If memory serves it started on July 1 and park opened like that for around five days then stopped. Sounds like you have hit the nail on the head.

If it has to open 2-3 hours late each day so we can get new effects like roof projections, and get the 360 motion base running reliably I am all for the delays each day. (Still better than opening at 4 or later like a few weeks ago.)

I personally would think opening late after making sure all the effects are working is better than rushing in the AM and having breakdowns in the early afternoon. The park is open till 10 right now?

Interesting. They need to get Hulk back up and running. Not sure what they can do to help the situation in Studios.

They added a lot of new street entertainment. Not much else they can do until new attractions open up. Losing Disaster, Twister & BJ at the same time caused a large capacity drop. Good thing they had added so much capacity with Diagon/Gringotts/HE, Springfield and Transformers previously. But with the big attendance jump in 2013, 2014 & 2015 that ate up that new capacity quickly.

I bet right about now they are kicking themselves for closing disaster before the summer crush.
I hope the new rides in studios are large capacity, like Kong appears to be. Gringotts had over an hour waits when we were there last June.

It's crazy crowded today. We cruised by Kong about 2:15 and it wasn't open. Having a bone-in ribeye at Hard Rock now. We will swing by Kong after lunch.

I just checked. Hard Rock, Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay appear to be booked up solid.
