Interesting. They need to get Hulk back up and running. Not sure what they can do to help the situation in Studios.

Suffer until Fallon, then suffer a but less for a good while. Won't be fully fixed until Nintendo.

Yup, crazy lines everywhere. We took a break, are gonna head back this evening and try for Skull Island. Hitting park open at 8am was fun though, walk ons everywhere in IOA. Got a free one time express pass for getting stuck on Gringotts.

It's crazy crowded today. We cruised by Kong about 2:15 and it wasn't open. Having a bone-in ribeye at Hard Rock now. We will swing by Kong after lunch.

Still the best touring plan, get to the parks early. :)

For as crowded as it is now, there were maybe 30 people at most standing at the rope drop for Marvel. Even on slow days at Disney (like yesterday was all day at Animal Kingdom), there's a ton of people there for rope drop. I guess it's probably the little kid factor.

At Universal they're (early entry people) all packed back in Hogsmeade long before the rope drops in Marvel. The HP stuff changes the dynamic.

The park has a case of Bi Polar syndrome. So much for those cancelled expansions :)......Seriously though, Comcast has a aggressive plan. I would doubt a couple soft months would cause them to deviate from their master mission.

They added a lot of new street entertainment. Not much else they can do until new attractions open up. Losing Disaster, Twister & BJ at the same time caused a large capacity drop. Good thing they had added so much capacity with Diagon/Gringotts/HE, Springfield and Transformers previously. But with the big attendance jump in 2013, 2014 & 2015 that ate up that new capacity quickly.

That new street entertainment is BARELY a distraction. They should have prepared something more worthwhile.

But at least when it's up, Kong is taking a few thousand from the other attractions and into the queue.

I just did some research on the lines for Universal Orlando for July 4 and the six days following it for the years 2014, 2015 & 2016. It was actually a moderate week for the parks during all three years. The lines this year were no worse than 2014 & 2015. Very close to the same times. So, it actually looks like that is not a good week for Universal regardless of the circumstances. It looks like 2016 was very normal.......Now WDW is another thing. Their past Fourth of July weeks were quite crowded. But not in 2016.

Looking at OI's wait history for today, why has basically everything had downtime at some point?

^ I wonder why they are putting it in that location? Perhaps it is just for TV monitors for the guests?
