I just don't get the emphasis on plots & story line in theme park attractions. How much story can you do in 4, 5, 6 minutes. If you could do a great plot and story in 5 minutes, books would only be two or three pages long, movies as short subjects, and War & Peace would be a few pages. People are often complaining about the story line being confusing in FJ, which in my opinion is the best ride anywhere. Then they complain about the story in Gringotts. Now Kong. To me, what's important is if I'm entertained and the ride is fun. And the more entertaining and fun the ride is, the better I rate it. Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't see the need for in depth character study, intricate plot lines, and stories that tie up all loose ends. A theme park ride is more like newspaper headlines. Just give me a ride that gives me a big smile when it ends because I greatly enjoyed the experience.
