Haven't heard anything about the scare actors in a while. How are they doing? Any problems with them scaring kids?

Is the single rider line usually up and running? You get to see the whole queue, right? We will have a toddler and I'm thinking taking turns in the sungle rider line may be better than taking him through the queue which could be scary and doing child swap.

Is the single rider line for Kong usually operating? We will have a toddler and I am thinking taking turns in single rider may be better than trying to take him through a potentially scary queue to baby swap. I'm not really a bad granny. I wouldn't do either if we could come often but we can only make it out to Florida about every 3 years and at my age I never know if I'll be around in 3 years.

Sorry for the repetitious post. It didn't look to me like my reply to the earlier post showed up at the end of the thread as I thought it would so I was afraid no one would answer. Now I see it did. Sigh.

The single Rider line is usually operating. But keep in mind if they feel it gets too long they will close down that line.

The singler rider line skips basically all of the regular queue and you skirt the witch room and can see into it. But besides that its just empty stone corridors. As an estimate I would say that the last streatch of the line is 30 mins or so. If you can't see the end of the line from where you are waiting it will be a while and at that point I would say the extra wait is worth if to go regular and then get a better seat on the ride.

I would ask at the entrance and see if one of you and the child can go directly to child swap via the exit.

Thanks for the heads up. I would hate to miss the queue. IzzyB, good suggestion, will send Grumpa. Anyone know what the activity is in the swap area?

The newer swap areas just have TVs showing something related to the rides. Whether it is movie clips or something else.

There was one when we went through. Me, wife, and 3 kids 4,7, and 13. She was just sitting there like a statue in the hiding hole. I said to one of the kids "look, that's a real person!". They didn't believe me.

I walked past a TM dressed as a evil witch in Knockturn Alley. I thought she was a statue, till she went after my 18 YO redheaded son, scared the cwap outta me. He took the attention fairly well, though my daughter was stuck in that scared/amused area.

I know the plan is to have him fight Godzilla so the huge size was inevitable but it still seems off for King Kong to be that big.

Oh the scare actors were out in force the other day. I like that they "pulse" it. In my case we heard the screams, everyone walked gingerly past the holes (nothing came out), until the group behind us hit the area unsuspecting because they hadn't heard the screams.... ins, repeat. LOL

I guess no one likes the attraction. :ack: They were turned off by the You Tube video. Too many screens. Not Disney enough like. Bad story line. Kong AA is boring & does nothing.

Has there been a lot of breakdowns? The wait times seem high for such a high capacity ride. I know it is new and all, but just seems high compared to the other rides.

I'd guess there's been breakdowns at times, seems to still be communication issues, but the line times have been high from morning till closing ever since they had the official opening. Before then, the lines weren't this long continuously, and they were having tech issues then. My guess is people now know it's open & they want to ride it.
