I'm usually the one to initiate the clapping on Gringotts and Kong.

Whoa they really did change the ending. I've only experienced the Kalana changes, so I don't know what the other driver's endings are like. I have to say, I don't really like how Kalana now sounds scared that Kong is there. I do like her asking the riders if they're okay after the ride ends. It makes the clapping feel more organic.

Sounds like this attraction is continuously being fine tuned. First they lengthened the time spent in front of the first two screens, and now they've tweeked the dialogue & music for the ending scene that gives you a number of different experiences. Kudos to Universal for fixing the areas that needed fine tuned.

How did they lengthen the first two screens? I haven't noticed it.

See Convoluted Frippery's post on pg. 587 of this thread. They lengthened the time the RV's spend in front of the screens area, not the screens themselves. Other posters had noticed the time spent in front of the screens was longer than their earlier rides when the attraction first opened, so CF took a stopwatch to time the scenes. Thus the increase in the total ride time from 5:50 to apx. 6:20 (discounting dead time)

Going back to the video from first day of softs, using CF's method of timing the ride is 6:05 in the video. Compare that to the 6:20 @ConvolutedFrippery timed minus the 15 seconds he said they were stopped and it is the same time it has always been. They would have to go back and re-render the entire video if they wanted to extend the first two screens video length since it is all synced to the position and timing of the vehicle.

It amused the teens I brought when they sent us out OUT on our ride on Transformers and greeted us back as victorious freedom fighters. It is easy to get jaded about the little things when you frequent the park. Forget that the silly things to us may charm the new/infrequent visitor.

I know what you mean, as I am one of those infrequent visitors myself. This was my first visit since 2010. We had a real organic clap on Jurassic Park at night time because we were riding with a bunch of crazy teenagers and it was awesome. But on some of the other rides there were people that obviously had rode before and were like half clapping only because they were told to and it seemed awkward, lol.

Already allowed the questionable time at the end in the above post since FP clocked it at *6:30 and Universal Creative's Mike West had earlier stated it was 5:50. plus, that extra 10-15 seconds that we didn't count to the ride time wasn't when the RV stopped before unload, that was the time between leaving Kong and reaching unload. I gave the benefit of the doubt & didn't count it for ride time, but perhaps it should, since the attraction plans include that area as part of the final ride scene. It would be 6:30 on the watch if you count from when the RV starts until you reach unload.

My first few rides they were moving at a pretty good clip through the doors and past the AAs and skeleton. My last ride they slowed way down through that part.

In the cave scene they pulled the truck away a little before trying to tie it into the bug pit faster but now they linger a few seconds more in the cave scene. It just seems to fit better now and then they slowed down around Kong for better viewing. All in all it gives a longer "feel" to the ride than my first few had.

^ This is what I EXPECTED it would be... slow the vehicles down... way down. The first videos I thought, "Heeep! This ain't the Daytona Speedway".

Funny, could have been my bunch of crazy teenagers on JP at night. They were so loud, on all the rides.

Express is now officially accepted. (Single riders is still there, but I don't know where it is now.)

Maybe what they were trying is to get the cycle time down then they realized with four trucks running it is a real people eater and they can slow down a little.

Considering I haven't been through the normal line yet before single rider, Not so thrilled about the express offered so early.

You may well be right. I have no idea when it comes to operations. The pass-off from UC to Ops is always blurry for me.

Ugh! Haven't gotten to ride this since the last 2 times I have been there it was closed when I was in that area. Now with express lines will be even longer. I was hoping off season I could get out there with a lower line.
