It's fake. Looks like the same effect they use for the Walking Dead Attraction at Hollywood if you look up a vid of that.

dang, OK, it looks so much more realistic than the video I saw of the walking dead attraction. Perhaps it was a perspective thing? Being above us makes it appear more real?

I think since the flames are contained within the crevices of the skulls it allows for better lighting to hit them and gives off a more realistic look.

Then again I had a thought. What are the lines for Kong like just before park closing? We're happy to ride it last thing if it means we can do everything else while Kong mops up the crowds.

The week we were there Kong had a posted wait of 90 minutes right at close most of the week. But the actual wait was a little over 60. That being said, I highly recommend your first ride be at night, even with the longer wait. Riding at night adds so much to the experience, in my opinion. Walking up from Dudley and Popeye and peeking around the corner to see that big huge castle all lit up with torches for the first time was breathtaking.

Going to ride this for the first time tomorrow. Feels like yesterday when I was there 2 years ago and it was nothing but dirt.

Yeah, the rest of the park looks slow for a Saturday morning, but not Kong for sure. Nearly everyone must be there in line.

No door, the express goes through the large opening in the witch room. Basically it merges in on the very front line right in front of the witch

What is the capacity sitting at for Kong just now? I thought this was going to devour crowds.

This ride is well-named. The Reign of Kong has extended over all of IOA.

So after getting 2 rides in, a good, but not great ride. Got front row the first time, but the second ride I was in the middle and enjoyed it a lot more from there. Overall a nice addition to the park. It's good to have another attraction at IOA.

Also, used the Express line both times and the queue is far less stellar than it would be from the regular. I saw the witch AA from a different room but that's about it.

The single biggest thing I have learned about Kong is when you come up on the two glasses lines get into the right line. Of course that only works if you're in the standby line.

Ok so someone on Magic said they've been hearing it's been unusually slow at both Disney and Uni today and that Kong was almost a walk on. Anyone actually there to confirm?
