Was able to see Kong and add it to My Favorites list. Still no wait time listed. Is it running now?

I haven't looked to see if the outside is the same, but the ones on the inside are covered with some sort of brownish plastic looking goop.

Do you really think the ride feeling short is a con? It sounds to me like a testament to how good it all is. I was surprised that you didn't list the front viewing angles as a negative.

Yep. Enjoyable, engrossing & entertaining goes fast. Boring & mundane drags on slowly. Six minutes is long for a ride of this type.

The only hotel with rooms open is Cabana Bay. That is where all your people are coming from. Could it be people are there for the opening tomorrow? Staff of the Today Show? I don't see them putting up Today Show staff in the budget hotel.

Depends on how they're doing the arrangements. It's not unusual for staff and crew to go to cheap hotels while talent stays in fancier digs.

Kind of shocking to think that this is the first major non-Potter addition that IOA has gotten in its 17-year-long existence. Wow.

True, though I haven't seen dark rides like Spidey, FJ, TF, and Indiana Jones Adventure described as short. Could be anecdotal evidence, but idk. Could be wrong.

Anyway, Gringotts has the same issue with some guests calling it short. Could be the stop/start pacing that Kong shares with it. Maybe since they don't have the level of flow of a Spider-Man, it doesn't quite meld into a greater whole in guests' minds, so all they remember are relatively short individual scenes.

Just musing. It's interesting to think about.

It's a symptom of a larger issue, the plot. Talking to Brian about the ride I think what's missing is plot resolution which would make it feel complete. Without resolution the ride seems short, it needs more connective tissue.

Disney builds many of its parks in phases. Universal built IOA to be complete from day one. The only things they left out were some more kids rides.

Guess a long wait time is a good sign for a new ride. Just as long as my wait is shorter when I finally get to ride it.
