Agreed, Izzy. The park needs 3 more rides with no height restrictions, especially a few dark rides.

Yup. Because of the ride vehicle/seats

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't know. Yeah I'd agree they need some dark rides that have no height restriction.

I never realized it either until I went to take my daughter on it and couldn't. I was so disappointed because I knew she would love it as I do. It is 34" so I think I am 1/2 inch off of it and then she can ride it. It sucks my son is very short for his age (they are twins), so it is going to be a long time before he can ride it.

I'd like a spinner like the one Busch Gardens Tampa had about 15 years ago, but removed...I don't know the name of the kind of ride. It had several arms that went up and down, and each arm had 4 individually spinning cars...it was tons of fun.

Ferris wheel is just TOO big for that park...it would be insane.

Honestly one of the FEW problems that I have with USF and IOA are the fact that they're built around lagoons and its easy to "take yourself out" of the theming of one area, like the Lost Continent/Mythos when you see Marvel Island and Toon Lagoon. The Disney parks are better at separating the lands.

Therefore, I'm not sure how its going to look from London across a VERY short space to the simpsons area...if you know what I mean.

Yeah Disney, has been doing that for ages. I forgot what it's called. They call it something. Want to make the guest feel as though they have escaped reality by not seeing too much of another park or too much of the city.

Also Universal has land issues so can't really blame them too much. Personally, I actually like the park around a lagoon. it builds excitement for me as I'm walking from Island to Island. Now if it were something in the Lagoon such as a ride or water show or something to make focus solely on the lagoon and not directly across it, that may help, but it's not likely to see something such as that happening.

I agree. One of my absolute favorite vistas anywhere in all the parks is from Mythos where you can see a panoramic view of MSHI, Toon Lagoon, and JP across the lagoon.

Does anyone think/know if there will be concept art for this expansion? Also, would you even want to see that art?

As bad as I would like to see it, I'd rather see the details of Springfield in person or it takes away from the awe a bit...thoughts?

Universal holds on to concept art like it's the holy grail. So no.

Wait, are we going to ignore that we can see a standalone tower and a castle from Liberty Square? Or a futuristic mountain structure from a fair? All parks will have issues with sight lines. The only park that, in my opinion, successfully bashes down most sight line issues is Animal Kingdom, and that's because it has the luxury of space. When you step into Diagon Alley, you will not see anything but Diagon Alley. Similarly, when you're on the Liberty Belle, you see (almost) nothing but the riverbeds found across early America. But to expect to not see anything but London when you're on the embankment is slightly foolish. Theme parks can remove you from other places with theming, but each place will always have visual intrusions because theme park lands or separated spaces aren't literally miles apart from each other. Let's be a bit more rational when we mention what sight line intrusions are.

If it's indeed going to be a spinner like we are expecting im just hoping that there's something different about it that stands out. Maybe have a switch during the ride that sprays other people with water or just something different and new.

I would love to see water come out of the heads of Kang and Kodos just like the Mystic Fountain in Islands. Yeah people may drown for a second, but it adds water to a water ride less park.

All parks should be waterless.

How about beer fountains in Duff Gardens? :P Not very theme-park friendly, and completely disgusting, but it would be oh, so Simpsons

Marriott's Great America near Chicago, long before it sold out to the Six Flags company, called that ride The Lobster and I rode it many times. I think it's renamed the River crawler now. Pretty decent ride when it picks up speed.

I thought the Busch Gardens spinner OP was referring to was called Sandstorm...which was just recently removed in the last couple years to make room for a drop-type ride right? Although it was your typical carnival/fair type spinner, to me it was more fun than the usual "dumbo" type spinners...

So then Pirates, Small World, and Splash Mountain should not exist then right? No parks need to have water rides. Most parks are open during hot summer days anyway.

As a means of conveyance and aesthetics, water is fine, but I don't care to get wet or soaked in a theme park.

We had a ride like this in Kennywood when I was growing up. It was up high on a building and was really cool. One of my favorite rides growing up and I was sad when it left. Last time I was in Idlewild there was a similar one there, but that was ages ago and I am sure it is long gone too. I would mind that, but I am pretty sure Uni would slap a height restriction on it, not sure though.
