We had a ride like this in Kennywood when I was growing up. It was up high on a building and was really cool. One of my favorite rides growing up and I was sad when it left. Last time I was in Idlewild there was a similar one there, but that was ages ago and I am sure it is long gone too. I would mind that, but I am pretty sure Uni would slap a height restriction on it, not sure though.

they got one at Cedar Point just like that too..

We used to have one at a local park, it was called Tennessee Tentacles, try saying that after a couple of Duffs :rofl:. I Imagined K&K to be this type of spinner.

Put me on any coaster or thrill any where and I love it,put me on this ride or any other kiddy ride that spins and I feel sick :ack: I just cannot do spinning rides.

I thought the Busch Gardens spinner OP was referring to was called Sandstorm...which was just recently removed in the last couple years to make room for a drop-type ride right? Although it was your typical carnival/fair type spinner, to me it was more fun than the usual "dumbo" type spinners...

Sandstorm has not been moved as of yet... but it will be moved within the park to a new location if and when the time comes for the drop tower project to move ahead.

That type of ride would be amazing if at some point when the center is spinning the arms move over the lagoon. That would make for a memorable experience.

The Monongahela Monster! I don't remember it being on top of a building, but its been many years.

Definitely more of an "adult" ride than what's being built here, but Insanity at the Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas does something just like that. It's a spinner that swings guests over the side of the over 900 ft tall tower.

The Kennywood Monongahela Monster was on top of the former lagoon building next to the bridge. That area was leveled & is now a show area. Prior to the Monongahela Monster they had the Rocket ride on that platform.
