2 person RV themed to the Falcon's gunner station. One person controls direction (rotation + pitch + yaw), one person fires. Feedback when you're hit. Buzz on steroids.

Man rumors are all over the place from 1 ride and a spinner to 2 rides with screens, to AAs, to buzz on steroids... lol Looks like no one really knows for sure what the 2 rides are, but from the descriptions from Disney I don't think a spinner is one of the 2. Not to say they won't put a spinner somewhere over there at some point (would think if they want a spinner in DHS TSL would be a better place though) but it looks like it is 2 real rides and at least one of them being an E-ticket.

About two months ago some insiders were saying that Disney was still working on attraction designs and that nothing was finalized yet. If true, that's one of the reasons I see a 2018 opening as too optimistic. The other reason is that a ton of road, parking garages, and other infrastructure work needs to be done and the timelines on those types of construction are generally problematic. Disney may have the greatest of intentions to open by 2018 but I think they got too late a jump to really get it done by then.

Who knows what Disney is or is not doing these days as they do seem a little all over the place. But my understanding is that they are already starting to work on the infrastructure stuff. I think a better indication will be when they break ground. If they break ground before or at the same time as Uni breaks ground on Nintendo I think they could do it. But we will see. I do think TSL can for sure be 2o17 with how simple that will be.

I agree on TSL. It's really just a glorified somewhat themed carnival area. It shouldn't take long at all, not like the third track expansion for Toy Story in an existing building that's already 14 months and not close to opening.

Have they seriously been working on that for 14 months? Sheesh..... Disney can be so slow when they want to.

I just don't see this opening in 2018, given how slow everything has been with Disney lately. Why the sudden change?

Low spending and attendance in DHS. Ops is having a fit because the numbers are so bad. If it wasn't for Frozen summer event they would be even worse. Then you start shutting down more things to build all this stuff and you have even worse attendance and spending numbers. When they have to stop events (Star Wars Weekends) because they can't handle capacity there is another whole other issue. Ops is pushing then to build this faster and it seems Ops is winning with management right now.

Two rides. One is Flight of Passage clone for Millennium Falcon. Other is interactive trackless shooter attraction. I understand both are very reliant on virtual sets but I can be wrong.

Was Frozen Summer an event this year? Or more of a non-event? Haven't heard the numbers. But DHS will hurt even more soon with the loss of SWW so hopefully the new entertainment rumors are true. They'll need more than Club Disney, Club Villain (or is that the same location?), and the Launch Bay.

Club Villain is just going to be a Saturday hard ticket offering at the new theater pavilion. So that probably won't impact attendance much.

IMO sounds like the Falcon will be another Mission Space type of ride/spinner. If so!! make sure you ride it within the 1st month of openning, before they tone it down and start giving Green and Orange cards at the entrance. I base this opinion on rumors that guest will be piloting the Falcon plus Disney loves to repeat their own technology again and again..... and again. I think this could work though, having all those G forces during intense battle and light speed.

Yes it was mid June to early September.

No way do they do that again. They would love to get rid of that ride, but can't because of the limited offerings.

^ The ride is not bad at all.... Actually it's one of best breakthrough since the year 2000. but when you don't maintain a ride, or change the prehistoric CGI, and destroy the integrity of the ride by toning it down due to an idiot guest that could not read the spin/motion sickness warning signSSSSSSSS all over the place and tummy felt sick after.... so let's go and complain. If they are able to build the falcon cockpit with awesome up to date CGI, then why not.... How can Disney "not Universal" replicate the intense flight maneuvers of the Falcon. Maybe I'm just dreaming, Silly me... We all know we most likely end up with another Omni mover with a screen showing a 50x times faster speed visual than the actual RV.

I like the ride. But I think it was a mistake for the general public and because of that Disney doesn't like it. I do not get motion sickness on anything, but I have to say the one time I did feel sick afterwards. I only remember because it shocked me. I mean I can do the stick to the wall rides without getting sick. Because it is something that people stopped riding for various reasons, there is no reason to duplicate it. Because they want rides that more people can ride, not less. They need capacity and they need people to line up to ride this ride.

Pretty sure that the reason they toned Mission Space down way back when wasn't because of motion sickness.

That's what I was told by CMs. So, what was it? and I really hope you are not about to tell me it was a technical reason. Because that would be worse reason than the typical guest complain.
