Agreed. But it is going to be very interesting to see how it all unfolds But in my opinion here is how I see the road to 2028 unfolding:
2024: Fast and Furious coaster
2025: Off year or a new DWT film, Likely HTTYD to tie in with the land at EU and the live action film
2026: Donkey Kong Expansion to SNW, Simpsons closes and is sent to the theme park history books and FFB is rethemed to an LA street
2027: Off year
2028: Simpsons Ride replacement

I remain adamant that if they are going to talk about things this year for the lead up to 2028, it won’t be about the park itself.

It’ll be about the International Broadcasting Center tying into the NBCUniversal Evolution Plan with the remaining stages to be built over by the former Red Sea, incentives they’re taking to ensure the infrastructure of the area can handle it; and the hotels for which that IBC talents and crew will have to stay in for close proximity.

Considering this was planned for LA2024, and that NBCUniversal will still have the rights to broadcast the LA2028, I imagine that has factored mentally above all else for the next 5 years. On top of park growth and expansion. In fact; if they’re smart, they don’t do a Hogsmeade yearly rollout. They remain quiet on park expansion beyond 2024 to not have customers wait.

With the delay of construction, I wonder if HTTYD film will be out next summer instead of getting the coaster.

My hope is if we aren't getting a new ride next year that we get a new castle show, Panda show and maybe something new on the tram to kinda help make up for that

I think they are absolutely interested in building a hotel but I'm skeptical of Uni Core.

Same, this feels like padding out an existing rumor. We'll see though!

I've said it before but I'll say it again: My understanding is there are currently no plans to add another show to DWT. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but I wouldn't expect it to

Just curious, have you been getting the info that they are no current plans to swap out the film for the DWT from inside the park? The DWT been drawing lower wait times recently and usually that is a sign it is time KFP is starting to run its course and maybe its time to move on to another DW IP.

Not an insider and don't claim to be (as shown above ), but I feel like if it was going to happen soon, then it would have been done by now. It took Star Tours a long time to get new locations, Smuggler's Run has no current plans to, as well as to the many other interactive attractions. Maybe the park doesn't see the cost of producing a new film as worth it, when this one is still "just fine"?

One thing to consider is that half of the footage used in the current show for DWT is repurposed from a ride in Dubai. Making a new animated film for the attraction would be pretty costly. Remember how they filmed footage for Mission Breakout alongside with Guardians 2 to help with production costs? I feel like they would do the same with whatever new Dream Works film they decide to film next…which would probably be Shrek when they make Shrek 5. Having a new film, even if it’s only five or six minutes, is going to be costly.

Next year is going to be F&F, ‘25 will probably be Bourne, and ‘26 will likely be DK. I could see a new DWT show open alongside Bourne in 2025 to offer a nice one-two punch for that year.

If they were going to have a new attraction open for 2025, they would have to start like right now considering that it will take longer to build than F&F. That is why that unless there is a new DWT film, 2025 will be an off year.
