Sunset Seasons Greetings - Holiday Projection Show

The only rationale I can come up with - as I used to work in Holiday Services so I know the regular timelines - is that DHS got new decor and they want it up for promotional filming.
They did get new decor and some of it is on Sunset, but most of it is in Echo Lake.

Testing, testing...

Nothing says Happy Holidays like the Tower of Terror! I would've gone with only a Nightmare Before Christmas theme on this one.

I saw something that said it was going to become “The Hollywood Toy Hotel...” and I blacked out before they could finish the sentence.

My body’s natural defense systems obviously kicked in.

What utter nonsense, I think any big building will fall victim to projection mapping at some point now....The Hollywood Toy Hotel sounds like a porno btw

Both of which don't belong at Hollywood Studios

I think for a temporary, seasonal show that happens a few times a night.. this is pretty cool. Don't know how you could be upset when they're adding an additional offering during a busy time of the year.

EDIT: might I add, I'm Jewish and still think this is pretty cool.

EDIT EDIT: I think the 3- (maybe 4-, idk) dimensional aspect of the LED boards down the boulevard could make for some cool effects

It’s just wildly inappropriate to ToT’s theme. Great Movie Ride was another story because the venue itself was pretty thematically neutral outside of “entertainment.”

Same reason people were angry they put Mike from Monsters Inc on Spaceship Earth.

And side note: I wonder why they don’t map on Spaceship Earth. Yeah there’s lasers and here have been projections for 4th of July and the odd event... but it’s a round object that can be seen from most anywhere in the park. How is TOT getting mapped a bigger priority than SSE?

That's the one caveat I can understand, but it's only seasonal and for a few minutes each night during the season.

Maybe once the whole area is redone that could be a priority, but there's nothing to do at night for the massive crowds it would bring.
