SLOP 2020 (late 2019 is feasible, but I give it an early 2020 opening)
SNW 2021/22

Not too mention the Lower Lot updates, a possible move of the Studio Tour and even TWD being replaced in the next 5 years.

Looking at how Osaka got vertical starting in 2018, it seems they are getting to around a 2.5 year construction timetable.

I would think they would want to go on a similar route for Hollywood, which would mean going vertical by January, and moving the project trailers to Stage 55 that are currently being used.

What makes me curious, is if this will be the only time Nintendo is used for the California local.

Completely ridiculous. You don't even know what this land is going to look like. It's been said time and time again acreage is irrelevant since it'll be a vertically oriented. This thread has become too much.

Take it easy guys. You're all missing my point.

Of course MK is going to be groundbreaking. BUT, If this turns out to be a half-realized land with only 1 ride, it would be best to wait when they have the proper space and resources to build a fully-fleshed out land. This land has taken YEARS to come to fruition thus far. As Alex said, this is the BIGGEST IP Universal has, aside from Potter and they should give it the proper treatment it deserves.

I'm basing this on what @Chris stated from insiders, to keep our expectations low because this land has been SEVERELY scaled back. Of course, nothing is official at this point.

It's not like the best land at UOR has only one ride or anything......

Remember that Nintendo will be a multi level land. They will be digging down to create the environment plus to help minimize sight line restrictions.

My concerns of not having a flat land will be the restrictions on how many people can be inside the land at one time.

Only until Galaxy's Edge open. Then Disney will most likely retake the throne.

Might get built a bit quicker, and more cost effectively if it was!

I don't know man. It feels like I've been waiting for Nintendo FOREVER.

Agree with you about the cost efficiency part though.

So SNW Hollywood gets 5 acres to start, an e-ticket attraction(game changer), c or d ticket attraction, possibly multi level immersive land that’s unparalleled, expansion space behind of 2+ acres(a new 5 year plan will come into effect in 2021/22 don’t forget) and we didn’t lose revenge of the mummy during construction w/ even more expansion space behind it. I don’t know what Hollywood is up to but I’m damn excited.

Oh and Star Wars Galaxies Edge(Disney not Universal but I think I know what was meant) looks great and all but let’s be real nothing is beating Diagon Alley until it’s actually beat and I don’t see it happening. Diagon Alley is a place where you can spend hours never touching the ride, just exploring and finally have to force yourself to leave cause you paid for the whole park lol. I don’t know if anything can touch it yet look forward to the day it does get beat. Also Disney won’t even have the best attraction opening in Orlando next year that will be held by Hogsmeades new potter coaster at IofA that damn ride has dwarfed the highest expectations set fourth and its legend is still growing.

If SNW absorbs the plots of Soundstages 22-25/28, alongside the buildings of Panda, Studio Cafe, and Restrooms, alongside the current TF queue..then that would give them about the range of 4 acres.

However, my assumption unless if @Chris says otherwise, is if Panda/Restrooms/Studio Cafe/TF Extended are staying; which would lower the size of the land to about 3.22 acres.

If it's around 4 acres, then they can do a version of Osaka that would have to change layout, but it would be able to include the Mariokart & Yoshi Attractions that are rumored for that version, and the Orlando version.

Sorry, I’m under the impression that panda/restrooms/studiocafe/TF extended que would be absorbed. The expansion space I was eluding to are the soundstages behind the proposed land. 4 acres is still solid for the start, I just refuse to underestimate Universal Creative when they are truly pushed.

Not a problem! Honestly, I get the impression that they may find a way to separate the lower lot restrooms from the Panda/Studio Cafe buildings; and keep them with the intent of that..the LL has to have bathrooms. It would lead to a small decrease in the .01's, but It wouldn't be as bad as to say..having only 3.22 acres of space.

Since I was stuck indoors today I decided to mess around with google earth and photoshop to try and produce what I'd consider a suitable version of SNW for the lower lot in the smaller 4ish acre plot. Since it seems that Panda Express and Character shop won't be completely demolished (according to speculation), I tried to leave as much of them standing as possible. Also the Mario Kart building is to scale with Japan's. This leaves the space above (where I placed Yoshi/Dining, at 25,000sq feet each floor, plenty of room for an omni-mover considering mermaid is 21k sq ft.)

The blue TF box would be the relocated extended queue.

Out of curiosity, would the basement & First Floor also be under Peaches Castle for MK?

I'm still baffled by this Yoshi "Experience" talk. The ride was relatively small. I dunno how they cut it, if they did

Yeah, I'm thinking the 2nd floor will have a U shape with Peaches Castle being the main entrance, but the lower level(s?) will be closer to a box shape. Just a hunch though.

Do we really think MK is going to be U shaped?
Based on Japan construction I'd say this is still unconfirmed, and if you read the Japan fan sites it's believed to be more Forbidden Journey shaped.

I really like the way you have the entrance to the land. I think this has been the most challenging part of this endeavor.

I’m also wondering where restrooms will be located within the land. We cannot have a Lower Lot expansion without additional restrooms.

As mentioned it's just a hunch. I have no clue what is being built. We'll know probably by mid-end of next year what things will finally start looking like in Japan. Then it'd be easier to translate what might come to Hollywood.
