I wish they could just move it to another location. I get why it's there, but it's taking up prime real estate.

To me this is another question I'd love to ask management about

Why did you build a land in an area that you'd either have to take away studio from to make more attractions and sandwiched between this restaurant that you had a contract for and can't use for more.

I just wish I could be in the room as they pitched this land

Is there even any word on how long it will last? It's hard for me to imagine how they could use it to expand SNW one day if they do finally tear it down. I admittedly still wonder what could have been different if it did get torn down.

It can be used maybe for a “moving pathway ride” if the Q is made like SLOP

But if not a ride could also be used for more meet and greet space for bowser and Yoshi
A quick service restaurant
And more band games/interactive elements

The main thing I'm pondering is how a pathway to it could even work if it were to happen.

I doubt one can be built from where the power up band dispensers are because of the Piranha Plant animatronic, and the only possible pathway to a future expansion (next to the Koopa game) would be an awkward path because of how it's already past Panda and the alternative exit.

The only other place I can imagine is the underground segment next to the other castle wing being expanded into a tunnel that leads to the new space, but that would probably mean closing it off for a while once it's time, though at the same time, there might be more new offerings in the park by the time if that happens.

So around this Purple area is the inside area where there are some interactive stuff, that would be how you enter the area in my mind.

So I do doubt they'd put a ride there....unless they do take away Mummy and start expanding the lower lot. But even adding an area to meet Bowser (maybe Boo during Halloween) and Yoshi/other character. Along with a new quick service restaurant with second story and some more band games would help the land.

But also....it could be sooooo long before that happens that they have already expanded the land behind MK, so it might not happen.

Seeing that image, I never realized that Panda is part of the same building as the bathrooms and the lower lot store. Somehow, I thought it was its own separate building. Kind of explains why it's a bit harder to get rid of it.

Isn’t there access to the women’s restroom from inside Panda? I remember there was some work being done in the area so they blocked outside access to the women’s restroom and the only way to was through Panda. This was in 2018.

Hm, yeah. It does make me wonder if they can leave those two intact should it ever get torn down.

Just the women's. And I don't think it's inside Panda, but just to its left.

I do remember that at one point, possibly during SNW construction, they had to temporarily shut down the lower lot men's room, and they split the very large women's restrooms into both men's and women's. It took me a moment to even realize, I was like, "Where are the urinals? There's only stalls!"

Apologies if this has been asked before but can you still make Toadstool Café reservations off site or did they change it so that you have to be on property to book? We're planning on visiting for our sons birthday next week and wondering if the website will work in the morning.

Can you reserve a spot at Toadstool Cafe during the early access hour in the morning? I'm going next month for the first time and I want to try it out, but I don't want to eat super early in the morning.

Related note, how is the line for Mario Kart during EA? Is it normally a walk-on?

From what I remember you can start making reservations for Toadstool Cafe at 7am. You can select any slot of time that's available, and they typically open at 9am.

You might be able to walk-on Mario Kart if you get there in the first 10-15 minutes, but it typically reaches an hour wait by the end of EA.

For future reference,
BriefCasey said:
There's two, the CityWalk entrance on Universal Studios Blvd, and the other entrance is on Universal Hollywood Drive, which you can get to from Lankershim Blvd. I'm not sure if you can directly enter Frankenstein parking from that same path, but if you can I get the feeling you'll have to pay the preferred parking price if you want to park there.

In simpler terms, I would take Universal Hollywood Drive if you want Jurassic Parking, which is still relatively close. I've never taken that path because I had no idea it supposedly sends you there automatically. You're more likely to get sent to ET or Curious George if you take Universal Studios Blvd.

Thanks for your ( and everyone else's ) help on this.

I took the 134 West / Cahuenga / Universal Hollywood Drive route and it leads to the Jurassic Parking Garage. If I took the Universal Studios BLVD route, it would have led to the other Parking garages.

I ended up paying the extra $20 for the Preferred Parking at the Frankenstein Garage. I would say that it saved me about 10 minutes while getting to the Entrance of the Park, mainly cuz you don't have to cut through part of CityWalk to get to the entrance.

I'm fine with it cuz it did make it easier for me to get back to the car when I was done for the day.

I will say that I was SUPER IMPRESSED by the Mario Kart ride. I hated that I had to wait for 90 minutes even if I went straight to the entrance at the start of the day when the park opened. I assume that it would have been the worse later in the day if I went since there was a queue that would build up just to enter Super Nintendo World, whereas I could walk straight in at the opening of the park.

I tried to get a reservation at Toad Stool Cafe but couldn't get one. Not sure how the system works where it opens up batches of available times throughout the day, but it sucks that I couldn't get a reservation for any time of the day even at 9am in the morning despite continually trying throughout the day.

Other than that, I was impressed by the design and effort that Universal put into Super Nintendo World. The only part that I will say that I regret is spending $$$ on the Wrist Bands. The majority of the time that we were there was spent waiting in line. Once we were done, we could have spent more time there to try out the mini games. But by then, we just wanted to leave and go to the other rides. By the time that we could go back, there would be a long wait just to get in. If we had spent far more time there, it would be worth it. But given the short amount of time we had in Super Nintendo World and that it was super crowded there already in a fairly confined area, it wasn't worth it.

Of course, JMHO.
