I really wonder if Disney will release any numbers for Mulan tomorrow. If it did really well, I think they may do it to try and claim it as a PR victory. If they don't feel good, they may wait until the earnings call to report those numbers. The reason I bring up Mulan is because I wonder which was the more successful release. I have a feeling Mulan did better domestically. For it to have done better Worldwide, 8% of Disney+'s 60M unique subscribers would have to purchase the Premiere Access. To simplify, 4.8M purchases (8%) of Mulan at $30 would get Disney $144M in profit + 5.9M from global cinemas.
It's not too unrealistic to think that 8% of subscribers would purchase Mulan, so i'm very interested in seeing the numbers if Disney releases them. I think the real test for theaters though coming up (obviously this was the first big one), will be Wonder Woman 1984 - IF they keep that date. i've heard chatter that WB may be thinking of pushing it off again.
