Believe as much of this as you want, but according the Screamscape Test Track's been delayed due Big Thunder's downtime. Supposely Disney does't want two major attractions down at the same time. True?

All of my people say its still on schedule. In general, Screamscape copies stuff they find on message boards.

I always liked Test Track. On one hand, it's scenery/premise is dull. On the other, though it's relatively new, I feel it has that retro "old Epcot" spirit and I love it for that.

I'm curious as to how you see that. I enjoy Test Track, but I think it's about as far away from old EPCOT as you can possibly get.

Don't remind me of that travesty on Splash, still makes me cry. As far as Test Track goes the ride does need a refurb, but they shouldn't re-theme it or nothin...just make sure that everything is working as it should. I must say it's been a long time since the crash test scene worked for me :( .

Am I missing something with Splash Mountain?

For a long while all the animatronics on the riverboat were broken and it was painfully obvious because chicken heads were without pressure and hanging back to make it appear as if decapitated from most angles.

Disney's attention to detail and quality are paralleled. Universal WISHES they could build as detailed decapitated paralyzed barnyard fowl.

You didn't see the video recently posted of the riverboat scene? Only one or two animatronics working out of what... 30? The ride should have been closed. The WDW ride quality standards of the 70-80's is a thing of the past.

I've ridden Popeye with one Popeye animatronic armless and another headless (and both at the same time) so, yea, I'd consider Universal's wish achieved.

Something semi-educational yet not in-your-face exciting like the old (arguably updated) Universe of Energy and Living Seas.

Glad it's happening, it's needed badly. The tech on the cars was amazing for the time, but hasn't held up well.

Considering they've essentially made a copy of the attraction by using the tech for Radiator Springs Racers, perhaps they're waiting to get that off the ground until Disney moves their attention back to Test Track? But it sounds that all is back on track based on comments above.

Awesome, can't wait to see what's done to it. It needs lots of TLC to get back into good shape.
