OH NO!!!!! I had hoped Puppet Yeti was just a joke :'( Well, look at the bright side: maybe if they can get his arm working it means eventually they can get the rest of him working...I HOPE!!!

If they get him moving in a way they find acceptable, you'll never see full A mode again, IMO.

I doubt we'll ever see full A mode, honestly. Maybe close to it, but I don't see Yeti ever pulling off a 100% recovery.

I have given up complete hope of the yeti in A mode.

I think it will become a thing of legend and lore, and a kind of badge of honor... like "I remember seeing the Yeti in A mode" ..."oh really? WOW!" lol

I can see it now...

Me- "I saw him with full motion during Cast Preview and got my 'I Conquered Everest' car visor."
Some dude- "Oh YEA? Well I had a romantic evening out with him in A Mode, so there!"

You know what is sad, if I think I've only seen the Yeti in A mode once...and I don't even remember it.

I do. It was amazing. If you think you may of seen the Yeti in A mode, you may not of. I can't imagine forgetting it. It was literally the first Coaster headchopper that has ever had me convinced enough in a ride to actually duck. I felt pretty emberassed but put it to it as an amazing compliment.

It was summer of 2007. I remember the ride but I wasn't paying attention to the yeti.

2007 was when it started going wonky. I would be willing to bet you did not see it in its full functioning mode.
The way it was designed was so carefully spotlighted too so that if it was functioning and lighting was on it as it was supposed to you would have to be paying attention to it. The sparatic less than lit lighting did not come until after the structural damage. An intentional move so the Yeti was something you had to look for rather than something that definiately tried to rip the train from the tracks.

As much as I find EE to be an overrated failure (compared to what was hyped) the Yeti was freaking fantastic.

Agreed. Without the Yeti it is less than an E Ticket than I thought it was when it was built. I thought it was a better themed big brother of Thunder Mountain. Now I just find it to be a bigger brother of Thunder Mountain without all the classic nostalgia and sight gags.

The Yeti was the thing to hype about.

Until the Yeti is fixed I will be abbreviating "Expedition Everest: Legand Of The Forbidden Moutain" as EE:LMFAO.

I am embarrassed that this goes over my head. I see the missing letters but I am at a loss for the sarcasm.

I think the Yeti lovers should band together and demand A mode come back! If Disney refuses then we storm the gates!

I am going to venture again to say it is just never going to be fixed. I can't think of anything else of this magnitude that has been completely broken and down for this many years without being fixed and than all of a sudden it is.

The truth of the matter is Everest will no longer be the kind of ticket it is If/when Avatar and other attractions open. It is now 6 years old.

This would be like the Tesla Coil of Maelstrom coming back tomorrow. Only that is actually more likely.
