I'd rather have Supercharged over Back to the Future. I hope it gets replaced by that F&F drifting coaster instead.

Blasphemy. Though a F&F coaster is an okay idea.

How does everyone feel about the "streetmosphere" characters? Is it helping bring some life to the park? Might they consider expanding the idea to other areas, like have an old fisherman in SF?

Was there this weekend, honestly since they stay towards the entrance of the park I never really saw them, I’d prefer if they were out by transformers or on the Water front as it would be easier for people already in the park to see and interact with them

I don't disagree there's a way to make it work, I just don't think it'll be a true BTTF experience without the actors. While the cast of Jaws is great, it's the shark that's the star of the movie. You need him in that ride. In Back to the Future, the car isn't the star. Sure it's iconic, but I don't think anyone could've just come in and drive the DeLorean (Just ask Eric Stoltz). Fox and Lloyd added that extra charm to the films.

What if the relatives of Marty and Doc stumble upon the DeLorean when they get the are investigating Doc's home they just got after their demise. Yes it's the script of the latest Ghostbuster but that movie was fun.

They need to move them to Hollywood where it makes sense and give them an "old Hollywood" theme, but its a great thing they are doing now.

Did they miss the effusive and overwhelming praise sent their way for Hagrid's and VelociCoaster?

I don't love that tweet.

I don’t think there’s praise for anything new in Studios in a long time, excluding Bourne

Should there have been? Other than Bourne, what praise-worthy has been added since Diagon Alley?

Universal themselves know Supercharged was and is a total dud, and nobody's making a special trip to USF for Race Through New York.

Gotta agree that this is fine tweet. We see it here all the time. Despite praise, the biggest part of the convo is always “ok so what’s next?”

USF is really lacking capacity right now. That should be a prime goal for management. Yes, Mummy is back online in a couple of months. But Minions is a year away, and I doubt that will have
significant capacity. FF theater is still shuttered. The people eating parade hasn't been replaced with anything. Fast & Furious is a hated attraction, attracting short lines, and taking up a ton of space.
All this, while attendance is super strong.
Lack of capacity and large stimulus/post covid cabin fever crowds/long lines portend guest satisfaction issues.....Seems like most times an expansion is considered something pops up to kill it just as construction is imminent.

I mean, they’re currently spending a lot of money on the other end of Universal Blvd.

Doesn’t change the issues with the current parks, but no development at those is kind of the price tag on getting a new theme park eventually.

Yes, that's a given. But it's troubling that they've actually gone in reverse on capacity at USF during a time there's huge crowds most everyday. . At minimum, maintain the status quo....don't decrease offerings.

The park needs a DCA-style transformation. It's a better park than DCA, but it needs massive overhaul in several areas.

The Rock and Roll Coaster has to go as step one. Just doesn't fit and there are much better ones a train ride away.

Convert F&F to Scooby Doo second.

I think the joke rightly diagnoses that the people who want Jaws back won't shut up about it.
