Going off this I’m going to say the clue is for Candyman. If the clue has nothing to do with “Midvale” and Far Side as @Legacy said. The school may be what we need to look at. Looking at the school and the boy trying to get in leads me to Candyman And The IP will probably be the “lead” IP.

Ngl I kinda lean towards this. It makes sense for Candyman to be one of the lead IP’s, also his name was said in a school bathroom.

In the original, it was in an apartment I think.

However it did involve a university in Illinois there, so there’s that.

Edit: This is a long shot but Maybe “lead” is suppose to be the “lead” role. I looked up “Horror Lead” and articles came up talking about “Top Female Leads in Horror Movies”. Movies like “Us” and “Halloween” came up but “Scream” also came up. Im not sure If the Scream right are all cleared up. So my new idea is it’s for “Scream”.

So far side is a comic by Gary larson which also went on to have a show released on cbs. CBS has horror shows such as twilight zone and twin peaks....aaand that’s all I have. This clue is extremely hard

I should have clarified. "Midvale" not applying encompassed, "School for the Gifted."

So the clue doesn't involve Midvale, School For The Gifted, Far Side, or Gary Larson? Unless it's 2nd First Choice (which I've referenced numerous times so I'm thinking it's not that either), I guess it's time to go see who invented the brick wall LOL!

Ok so here's a random guess or two.

Comic is far side.
Gary Larsons website (as far as I can tell) launched 18th December 2019.
A film called Trick was released on bluray / DVD this day. Trick (2019 film) - Wikipedia
The lead in Trick is Omar Epps.
Films include Scream 2 and Dracula 2000.

However released the week before which means it would have been in the home DVD charts was IT chapter 2.

Alternatively Gary Larson has a letter on his website dated 26th September 2019 but couldnt find anything significant about the date.
