In a perfect world, we get a madcap trackless dark ride through the Warner Bros Toon Studios hosted by Bugs Bunny and featuring Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. Where ET now stands, we get a Duck Dodgers in the 24 and 1/2 Century ride using the same track but different theming (obviously). Yes, we lose a classic, but it's for the greater good (yet again). Add in a medium sized boat ride through the musical Looney Tunes (What's Opera, Doc?, Rabbit of Seville, etc), retheme the Nuthouse coaster to Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, and rip out Fievel.

Theme the entire thing to a cross between DL's Toontown and a studio backlot, and you've got a land that can stand for the ages.

That would be so perfect I would cry. What's Opera, Doc? is brilliant and deserves an attraction.

Trust me, it makes me sad because I know it won't happen.

I know a lot of people love those shows, but they're a bit too "out there" for a theme park, IMO.

I didn't even know Looney Tunes were still popular with present day under 8 youth. Quick someone go show a 5 year old pictures of SpongeBob and Bugs and see who he wants to go see.

Me and my little nephew watch Looney Tunes pretty religiously. Plus, he loves the new Looney Tunes show that Cartoon Network has now.

Avatar: the Last Airbender could make a cool kids area. A glider like Jurassic Park would serve as a nice "Airbender" ride, while Fievel's water slide could remain as a Waterbender's attraction.

I'd much prefer a Looney Tunes area to a sponge bob area haha! That'd be so epic.

I don't think it's that simple. Six Flags is under contract for Looney Tunes--sure HP is WB but it's also owned by an outside entity (JK Rowling) who has intellectual control over it before anything. Unlike with HP where WB is just the distributor, Looney Tunes are WB's baby--like Disney's Mickey Mouse. And since Six Flags already owns rights to them, they're not going to be going to Universal anytime soon, not to mention they aren't very popular anymore anyway. Sorry bub

So Six Flags is supposed to have good will with one of the largest franchises ever created but gags at the idea of Universal going after Batman?

You say they're not popular anymore, but they have a new show on Cartoon Network entering it's second season. Not only that, it's already garnered two Emmy nods for this previous and current year. Also, not saying that they would, but with the amazing projects Warner has seen Universal pull off with their properties, I think they would personally love to give Universal the rights for the Looney Tunes if it weren't for their contract with Six Flags and the fact that they themselves don't own the rights to them anymore.

Looney Tunes are actually owned by Turner Broadcasting System. Same company that owns Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, CNN, and TBS among others.

That doesn't change the fact that they're already licensed to Six Flags...

Contracts expire. Only unfortunate problem is that we don't know the terms between Turner and Six Flags for the rights.

Irrelevant, IMO. 20 years from now, it'll be "That Spongebob show was weird." 20 years from now there will still be Looney Tunes content being made.

IMO, you have to go with a classic property for these areas. Things that will last 20+ years. A singular ride is different. You can have a ride that only lasts 10-15 years. But lands can't have that short of a shelf life, IMO.

Yup. The show has done incredibly well.

Airbender would be awesome. Unfortunately, it's such a niche product overall.

The Six Flags contract, as I've been told by a good amount of people, are regional, not global. There is no Six Flags park in Florida, therefore they're open.

And Spongebob isn't very popular anymore either. The show's ratings have been continuously declining for the past few years.

Well, I think Spongebob could be a franchise that's remembered fondly. But in the same way that Rugrats or Doug is. It would be pretty weird to have a Rugrats land around now, no?
