I just hopped in in the evening (the park closed at 10 today), and while the merch in Trading Company is great, (no wands though :'() The merch was not in yet in the main Store in CityWalk. The castle looks AMAZING all light up from across the lake.

I dont like the fact that you can buy Harry Potter Merchandise in so many places, it makes it less special i think. It should only be sold in IOA. The Airport,Trading Company, City walk, and Hogsmead, come on !!! where else. -__- .....Whats next, walmart

LOL ound: I can just picture all those worn stained wood shelves any dusty books in the middle of Wal-Mart with people getting wands and Stunning the guest services people!

Come back and complain when they're selling wizard robes at Marvel Superhero Island.

What makes butterbeer so special ??? I know, because the only place that you can try it in the world is in the WWOHP. I believe it should be the same with about 98 % of its merchandise.

Also, your not in Universal when your in the Hogsmead, your in Hogsmead. So why would the sell harry potter things in a Universal store. I know, I know, im being so strict but they should limit there products that they sell outside of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's different when you say i got a wand in Hogsmead than saying i got it in a gift shop at citywalk.

I agree (for the most part). If you want a wand from Hogsmeade, get one there. If you don't care or know about Harry Potter, you can get it at the gift shop, where it might be less crowded. I'll be getting mine in Ollivanders!

true about the money part. The wands being bought in hogsmead, i think, makes them more unique. Thats just all. =)

I love how Hogsmeade turned out! But I have a few suggestions. Add more benches, add cute little tables in front of Hogsmeade. In a few years add some actual stores between the facades. I think some clothing, cauldrons, and book shops could add to the atmosphere.

If you guys want some made up storyline as to why the stuff from Hogsmeade is being sold at other places, let's just assume out of the many Muggles that have been allowed to enter Hogsmeade, some of them were traders from the Port of Entry. They bought many of the magical items and brought them to their store in the Port of Entry.

I think that selling TWWOHP logoed T-Shirts and things like that are fine at the Trading Co and The Universal store. But things like the wands, Honeydukes branded stuff and Hogwarts relayed stuff like scarvesand robes should only be sold inside TWWOHP.

I still don't understand the logic of having the area open half the day, then closing it, putting up the walls again for DD and reopening it 2 hours later.

Its a stupid logic in my opnion, but who am I to say anything.

I think they should put a sign saying something like "Dragon Challenge closes promptly at 11am," close it at that time to open Dueling Dragons for IoA visitors, and then have everything else in the WWoHP stay open the rest of the day. That should work, in my opinion :shrug:

That's right! I think I read HBP has 5 nominations. I'm kind of anti-MTV, so I'm just DVRing it, fast forwarding to whenever I see some HP related stuff, watch that and get done with it. The one I might be watching over and over again is the WWoHP special on NBC

I might be going to IoA today. It all depends on how things go in the next hour or two... hopefully I will go! I'm dying to ride FJ and finish exploring the WWoHP!

I used to watch MTV, but now it's all crap. I always watch the award shows though, so I'll be watching--if only for the HBP nominations and the clip. I'm VERY excited for the clip.
And for the record, if the award for Global Superstar goes to anyone but Johnny Depp, there's something terrible wrong in this world. I'm a mild fan of Twilight (mostly the books, though they are obviously not wonderful literature), but if Rob Pattinson/Kristen Stewart/Taylor Lautner win over JD...that is just WRONG. Dan Radcliffe is up for it too. I won't be as mad if he wins, but if any Twilight actors wins, that's BS. They can't act for anything, more so Stewart and Pattinson, but compared to JD?
Okay, OT ranting done.

And on the topic of merchandise, I agree with Disneyhead and Felipe- the WWoHP merch should be sold outside of Hogsmeade, but not the others. Some should be sold to drum up some business and excitement. The unique, true "wizarding" products should be sold inside to keep some exclusivity.
