I'm a short stocky little bloke myself. My friend on the other hand is 6'4" and thin. I can lose weight (don't think I really need to but I should be fit anyways ), but he can't get his feet chopped off. I know it's all about body type, his chest isn't big, but then pepole started throwing out height and such so I just wanted to make sure.

That is one of the greatest possibilities. If an upper arm fails hydraulics and comes in below the load platform and shoves you forward... then no feet or even legs. Not kidding.

They sat me, which I think was more for practice because it wasnt busy at all. But it added to the full service feeling anyway.

And the black pudding was fantastic - just like I remember from my grandparents house (Grandpa was off the boat British and Grandmas family was off the boat Germans, sooo...). Just wish we would have gotten more than one slice - now Ive got to go hunt some down at one of the British food stores in town...hmmm.

Just thought Id comment on this. The three Broomsticks is like a quick service resturant mix with full service. The guests will always be seated. That is an actual job position. Im really glad you loved the service because like the thing with the fork breaking, it is supposed to be replaced that fast.
Its always funny when people dont know what black pudding is and try it for the first time.

Congrats to danielle on the job! you are going to love it as long as you remember why you are there and play the role. Interact and live the moment. Remember, youre at Hogwarts! yay!

I was able to make my way to the Wizarding World today for softs and, wow. The entire land is incredible. I was only able to do Forbidden Journey and let me say that ride is unreal. I need to do it again just so I can try to absorb everything because there was so much going on. The line was also incredible. Universal did a great job of the line and really made the entire line feel natural and very true to the wizarding world. My biggest concern were that the shops were jam packed and not just because of a lot of people but I have never seen stores so small. I belive that they were that small in the books and movies but sometimes the source material has to be altered to enhance the enjoyment of the guest. I also got the pleasure of trying Butter Beer (frozen) and it is incredible. I also got the souvenir mug and it was well worth the extra money to have it. I hope that I can make it out again very soon to experience Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff.

This sounds somewhat like pecos bills at disney... yet on a higher scale.

They've been running daily since Tuesday. The softs begin at about 9 AM. Some times, the gates have been open for the whole time. Others, they only let people in for a 4 minute period before denying entrance. The rides have been closing at about 10:30/11 and everyone is out of the island by about noon.

I wil be there Next thurs the 10 thand this will only be my second time to IOA and our only Day there. I will be staying off site. What time should I show up at the parking garage to give me and DS the best shot of being one of the few GP let in if they do this. I am assuming they let people line up to go into the park before 9:00am and then eveyone races back to WWHOP and then hopes to get in???

I have appreciated all the info I have gathered here other that last several months I have told DS not to have high expectation and most likely will not get in. I have not even told him there have been GP getting in. I have purchased the express pass so we can get on other rides quickly if we waste time waiting for WWOHP. We are planning to go to both parks so depending on what happens at WWOHP my plan then is to go over to US and RRR do stuff other there and come back to IOA since it closes 2hr later. Any other advice.

In defense of those that don't know the name of the ride, there is absolutely no signage other than the fiber-optic effect that states the name of the ride, and I've yet to see it work during the day. Without prior knowledge, it's pretty much impossible to know.

Great article today on Orlando attractions on the size issue on The Forbidden Journey, I see trouble ahead for the heavy set.

From what I've seen, the issue is more height related than weight related. Poor tall people :(

LOL! Unfortunately, that's very possible.
Even though there will be people just there to check it out, I hope some people who go in without any Potter knowledge come out with a longing to read the books. The books are wonderful...I know there will be a lot more Potter fans as more and more people visit.

I seem to remember some big-wig at Disney discussing why they "passed" on Potter and saying that it didnt have any staying power, not enough people were familiar with the stories, and people in 10 years wouldnt even remember Harry Potter.
Of course, they also fail to tell you that this is the same bunch that at one point was going to build an attraction in Fantasyland based on Treasure Planet!
LOL.

Treasure Planet was a failed disney movie like Dinosaur and yet they still relpaced Countdown to Extinction with the name Dinosaur!

Dinosaur at least was not as big a failure as Treasure Planet, and at the time the tie-in made sense, to interest more kids on the ride. CTX was a better name IMHO, but Dinosaur is much simpler.
Unfortunately it also led to toning down the ride - sorry, but the Carnotaur was SOOOO much better and intense in the first version.
Still, they even toyed with an attraciton based on "Island at the Top of the World". I mean, Come on!
LOL.

At least the new Fantasyland should be great - they put John Lasseter in charge of it and hes about the only one left there with real vision. (and imagination).

LOL! Oh, I know! Its very funny. Some are like "thats good what is it?" while others spit it out before its announced. I always tell after theyve tried it.

So, Im going to try and get in tommorrow and hopefully will. If any of you are going tommorrow I hope to meet you (even if its unknown at first).
