Just got back from softs and am actually sipping Pumpkin Juice while I type this. Everything was awesome. I enjoyed FJ a lot. The Whomping Willow was my favorite part. I just missed the snow scene in Defense Against the Dark Arts and got the thunder scene instead. Like everyone said, the shops were really crowded. It was almost impossible to see everything in them. I'm going again Wednesday with the kids.

The prices have definitely changed. Several people have confirmed this. There is a refill price similar to the regular US/IOA souvenir cups. You pay for the cup and get a refill for a cheaper price.

they should scan their receipt to prove it. People constantly quote the prices wrong.

What time did they start shutting the rides and shops down today?

I could have sworn that the animal topped drinking glasses at AK came with free refills. Am I sadly mistaken? I just assumed that the frost BB mugs were the same deal.

Meal deal cups get free refrills at Uni, maybe that is what you were thinking of.

Try and keep spoilers to the spoilers thread, some people don't want to know anything about what is on the ride.

Seems kind of silly to me to have the price of Butterbeer fluctuate like that. I wonder why they are doing it, if this is really accurate?

Not true, for $9.99 I have a big blue water bottle that gets unlimited refills at UO forever. Well as long as they have that around

They are probably trying to determine what price is best for business before the park finally opens.

As far as I remember the area was always earmarked for 2010, originally it was Spring of 2010, but I don't believe it was ever announced as a 2009 opening.

This article says late 2009:

^That article was written by a newspaper. If you look at the press release on the Harry Potter site from Universal directly it states 2010.

Probably. As far as I can see, it won't matter unless they have it at some rediculous price. Potter fans will buy it anyways, as long as it is moderately reasonable.

Yeah, but back when it was first announced, and the concept art of Hogwarts was first released, it was targeted for a late '09/early '10. I'm talking back in the summer of '07.

Is that one of the blue bottles with the UO logo, or the one that says Meal Deal in big letters? I have both.
We just use the red ones, buy 2 get one free as they wear out (and they do start to leak eventually), and 89 cent refills. Also got 2 popcorn buckets for the same thing - cheap refills.
Cant beat it!

Which press release (date, edited date) is that? I think that might be the edited one from last Aug/Sept. They have changed the released info a few times.

You have to buy the meal deal then if you have the cup you get free refills.
For the butterbeer I payed $8:50 for the mug and refills are $3:00 for cold and $4:00 for frozen.

Yup, thats the stuff I remember too. And the original temp signs that went up. I believe the press release he is quoting from is the one that was re-edited late last spring/early summer when the 2010 signs went up around the park.
