Well I'll just explain why I like pins - they're cute, they're something you can use to break the ice with a guest in line (great way of making friends), and they are small and decently priced compared to most items in a theme park. If I was flying I wouldn't have to worry about packing a giant pin in my suitcase lol...

Ok, sorry if I offended. Your explanation is good. I guess I am just cocky/proud to have forced my way into the fray of it all being created... therefore, the souvenirs thing just leaves me mystified.

None taken Teebin, did I give that impression? I didn't mean to lol... I know what you mean, pins are the only thing I will ever buy from a Theme park (unless it's something really cool or I'm in the WWoHP... In which case I'll go nuts xD).

Is it bad that I'm sitting here listening to Leaving Hogwarts and John Williams HP music...missing Universal Orlando extremely? Been almost a year since my personal trip and I was so emotionally attached to the construction and lead up to the Wizarding World, that it kills me knowing the next stop won't be until next year or beyond.

This is ridiculous

I'm seriously considering getting on a train when I get enough money and going there, just to go... Play my harry potter music on the way and Leaving Hogwarts on the ride home xD... I'll have a real Harry Potter experience xD...

I'm curious - how's the Flight of the Hippogriff in terms of intensity? Is it really tame? I freaking HATE roller coasters - I'm pretty sure I almost died on Space Mountain when my parents tricked me into riding it back when I was still in elementary school (traumatized for life), so I'm wondering if a roller coaster hater like myself wouldn't mind Hippogriff. I've heard it's tame, but then I've also heard people say Space Mountain is tame, and...yeah. Not for me. ROFL. I wish I could enjoy more rides, but fear of heights and being a total coward make that difficult.

I have seen a video or two of the ride, and it LOOKS pretty smooth and tame, but looks can be so, so deceiving. My mother and I once saw a roller coaster that looked very tame to us from the ground at Six Flags Great America. When we got on it...oh sweet Jesus, we were dying. It was incredibly jarring - you felt like it was gonna go over the edge every few seconds. Yup, I think I was praying the entire time.

^ It's one of the tamest coasters I've been on, although it can be a bit rough. Then again, I think everything is tamer than it is, so...

To be honest, if you really hate coasters that much, don't ride. Hippogriff is surprisingly fast, and has some strong lateral g's. It's definetely a kiddie coaster, but also a tall and fast kiddie coaster. But I also suggest hopping in line, if there's little wait, just to seet the Buckbeak animatronic, it's pretty cool. Then just ask to exit at the station.

I'd agree. It's definitely a kid's coaster, but a pretty intense one at that.

I don't know if this has been noted but the Floo Network now smells like a fireplace. It's pretty awesome. Great little detail.

Me and my friend both got off and were like "Did it smell like a fireplace to you?" Great little detail! The minor details like that are what differentiates Universal and Disney from other theme parks.

Best part of the whole sentence. Now we can expect the same detail from both.

It hit my nose last saturday as well. I thought it was either something I somehow always missed or some new type of fog juice. It was a little weak and late on the blast but it was awesome that it smelled like the fall of rome style of burning embers.
