I am going to guess that the official opening date will be April 7. Notice how that date and the day after are the only non holiday weekdays blacked out on the Gold pass. It is also a day none of the Disney passes have blacked out. That means Universal is expecting big crowds that day, but not Disney.

I feel like they would want it open by March sometime so they can take advantage of all of the Spring Break crowds and not just some of it. Maybe not tho. I don't know.

I don't think I've drooled over a set of images for that long before. That extended queue for Forbidden Journey is insane.

Really love the Flying Ford in the FJ queue.  And I love that they were able to make all this fit in USH

I'd love to see Buckbeak and Hagrid's motorbike if you guys can get good images of that!

That is beyond surreal...pure eye & geek candy!!!

That FJ extended queue is almost as big as all of FotH! Hopefully in 5-10 years (lol) when the extended queue isn't necessary anymore, they can maybe transform that area into a new family ride. An intricately themed spinning ride themed to the Whomping Willow would be perfect for that spot#

Just imagine it, inspired by the 2nd film, and the scene from the 3rd film where it takes Hermione and Harry for a ride. It would also be a natural area to relocate the Flying Ford Anglia. It could be in the queue, or it could be placed up top in the center of the Willow like in Chamber of Secrets, tipping back and forth precariously over the riders. The riders would sit in custom ride vehicles that look like the ends of the Willow's extended appendages and branches, and the top of it would swivel a bit kind of like DCA's Silly Symphony Swings, but the main components would be like Silly Swirly/Dumbo.

You can actually see both of these in the first image. The motorbike is just above Hagrid's Hut, while Buckbeak can be found in a large nest to the left of the lift hill for FotH.

Lots of more light testing happening on Hogwarts. They even have a Beacon/Spotlight thing pointing towards the sky that is huge! I'll try to get some photos soon.

Yeah I live right down the street from Universal (across from Warner Bros Ranch) and was wondering where that spotlight was coming from. Can't wait for the announcement tomorrow!

Just got confirmation Harry Potter will definitely open in the first few weeks of April, with soft openings possibly starting as early as next month.

That's exactly why they installed that. To create hype and to have it be a tantalizing beacon of light to build excitement! I'm beyond pumped, I legit can't contain my excitement!
