An actually good commercial from USH that doesn't involve people sitting in a chair with lap bars behind a green screen!? *GASP*

Its not the best location, but it'd certainly work for this and wouldn't have to worry about them adding anything else.

I think the worst bit of news I got out of this was that Evanna was in the park and I wasn't aware.

Really, though, the announcement video and trailer gave me chills. This park has changed radically since the announcement of the land 4 years ago, and it's surreal to think that Hogwarts Castle will be just an hour away from where I live come next year.

I'm glad we also have some solid soft opening predictions. Looks like it's time to break out the old robes (and interactive wand..?).

It'd be the only plausible location in regards to crowds, bottlenecking, etc.

I vividly remember taking a rest break on the rally stage in Orlando and Hogwarts was only slightly covered up by Hippogriff. (and of course, that's there) It's not 100% ideal, but it's workable.

Allen: if WWoHP is open during HHN, which is very, very possible, that would be your time to go to Ollivander's. In USF during HHN, Diagon Alley was minimally crowded and there were numerous PERSONAL Ollivanders shows available.

Oh, and of course it's at night. Chills.

Edit re the lighting ceremony: Parkscope is quickly debunking this possibility/idea, which is not a surprise. It's a novel idea to play around with, but ultimately it'd be very difficult to pull off considering everything.

If Disney can do special things nightly with a selected guest, then why couldn't USH do the same? I mean really, it wouldn't be THAT difficult if they made it a nightly thing.... I can understand the crowds being a reason, but its certainly not an impossible thing. If we can have a tree lighting for Grinchmas every 30mins, then we should be able to light up Hogwarts at dusk each night with a young wizard (....or Allen)..

We finally got a real reveal of Hogsmeade with the Evanna Lynch video versus the video they released last month where it was really just the train station and Hogwarts that were actually Hollywood's.

So unlike all of you that have had to let all that energy out in excitement..I've been having to do some important stuff. Stuff that made me when I saw it, internally scream. And now I have a coke, and boy..


that commercial. It made me feel like something, I haven't in a Universal commercial (even USO's, and those are fantastic). It made me feel like a kid, with the sense of wonder that this is finally happening. And with the opening date, I was going to say originally that but I wanted to have hope that it'd be fully open for when I get to LA. but, that can't always happen.


Overall, watched the commercial give or take, about six times now and every time its given me goosebumps. If that's not telling how good it is, I don't know what to think.

I'm not gonna lie. My eyes were watering up and I got a lump in my throat when I saw that Hollywood sign in the commercial. After so many weak commercials, it's really awesome to finally see marketing put on a good commercial where I actually FEEL SOMETHING. I felt a connection. I got the sense of "Oh crap, this is 20 minutes from my house now." I'm probably gonna get chills and tear up when I step inside during softs. All of this is coming from just a very casual Potter fan. I can't imagine how you huge Potter heads over here will feel, haha!
