Its just you... it is due to the haziness of the photo. Remember, sunlight (or lack thereof), will alter the look of it.

I think I'm just going to steal a uniform from one of the construction workers and then just walk around telling the other workers that the opening date has been moved up to next month and we'll need round-the-clock construction going on to hit the deadline. I feel like that's a flawless plan and should work.

Wonderful to see so much scaffolding removed from Hogwarts, but the Grand Staircase is covered again.  Do you think they remove the scaffolding to see how it looks--the way a muralist has to step back and check--then have to put it back if something isn't right?  If so, that's quite a process.  Also, the awnings on the back of Three Broomsticks should bring some much needed shade.  I assume there's patio seating there, they'll need it.  Lastly, that small storage-ish area facing the Shrek queue is full of machinery now.  I'm assuming this make the steam/smoke for the Hogwarts Express photo op.  What do you think?

Great photos. I think it's safe to assume that the pipework is for the Hogwarts Express. I love that they added awnings (a feature yet to be seen in Florida or Japan), but I hope they age them to make them blend in more.

The Florida version has the awnings as well. At least they did when I was there last summer.

Full-fledged awnings? I guess that's a more recent addition, then. From what I remember, they only had umbrellas around the outdoor seating area.

Yeah I don't think they were there originally when the land opened, but they're definitely there now. And unfortunately they're not all that themed.

Yep, those look pretty new. It's a shame they didn't at least make them a darker color, but since we're getting shade, I won't complain (too much).

Would be cool if they at least slightly aged them or made them look like they were handmade by Hogwarts students out of house pride flags, etc. Kinda bland.
