I wouldn't know since I can't see it ;)

Also, what about sight lines? Is this seen from inside IOA?

It's noticeable, particularly from Jurassic Park visitors center terrace. But from that vantage point you can definitely see its not as tall as the light house.

Also, I imagine you can see it from certain areas in Suess because that building is directly behind the Cat and the Hat ride.

Can't wait to see this lit up at night. It should be quite the sight across the water.

I'm really hoping that the chocolate on sale is actually good. If it's one thing American's don't get, it's good chocolate. Hershey's is vile and they have ruined Cadbury.

I agree with this. I am hoping for good stuff. That chocolate frog they sell in HP lands is AWFUL!!! I want the good stuff, not the crappy stuff when spending that kind of money for chocolate. Hershey has it's place. Like Reese's cups and chocolate bars for Smore's, but to me it is not a chocolate I buy to just have chocolate.

If it comes down to price, I'll happily pay a dollar more for something better.

You would hope that a place that has the words Chocolate Factory in its name would make some high-quality chocolate.

I am hopeful it has a spot where you can see the chocolate being made right there.

I think it depends on what you consider making chocolate. I kind of expect we'll see them melting chocolate and making it into different things. I would like to however see them actually making the chocolate itself onsite but I'm not too hopeful that will happen.

I agree. It would be a shame to have these fine-looking creations and have them use generic chocolate.

Something like this?

Free samples in the gift shop was a nice touch too and it worked as I spent about $50. Worth every penny.

Heh, they could put the Lucy character, from the Studios' park, to work on the chocolate wrapping assembly line and recreate one of the classic comedy scenes from the "I Love Lucy" show. That would be a great marketing idea for a Grand Opening Celebration..... *Note to Universal Marketing* from Mad Dog

If I remember correctly having Lucy on the chocolate conveyor was a big disaster. Are you trying to sabotage the Chocolate Factory?;)

Typical Universal, something always goes terribly wrong. I just hope we don't fall 40 stories and be caught by Staypuff.

Lucy is the original "something goes horribly wrong" plot line device.

I know. Every single show something went wrong. I'm blaming Ethel and Fred.

The quality of the chocolate treats and confectionery throughout the 2 parks these days should hopefully dispell any anxiety about the quality of the offerings that will be made available here. Universal more than anybody else have lead this charge and benefitted from the financial success it ultimately brings.

I worked as a butcher for two summers while in college. If you saw what goes into sausage, you would never eat one. Hint; a lot of the old meats that had turned green, had mold on them, or were old and had started to have an odor.:yikes:

I love Hershey's, except when they're replacing the proper ingredients with cheaper crap.

HersheyPark and Chocolate World are great places as well.
