Hell, the construction wall surrounding this is a "themed exterior". That term covers a ton of ground. Ears should be listening for "heavily themed 3 dimensional exterior with a few magnificent surprises".

That suggests a business building backstage having nothing to do with anything. Was there a project number that fits with onstage work?

Project 609...otherwise, I wouldn't have put it here.

My point exactly. A theme can be anything. It's themed to a DVD case. Or A giant TV.

A "Universal soundstage" could be considered theming to some.

Especially considering where this will be located. Either way, I'm hoping we get the full-on NEST theme. I would be happy with fully immersive theming on whichever wall the entrance is on, with some complimentary paint and logos on the other two. That seems a bit more realistic to me than three walls covered in layers of theming.

I still think a NYC building with some Autobots figures crawling out of it would be pretty damn cool. It would be themed, but stick with the less serious approach of Production Central. Sort of like what they did with DM, only a little more expensive.

After looking at the way the steel beams have been placed so far it does appear the entrance will be at an angle facing the NY/ Lagoon side. I originally thought the Mels side myself simply looking at how the concrete was laid out. It appeared to me that the queue would be on the Mels side with the the ground level floor portion of the ride being on the NY side of the building. Now granted that still could very well be the case it does appear that the entrance will be on the NY side.

Here are a few pictures from last night,

We should remember that the basement's purpose is supposedly just for a maintenance bay. While supports for the main and upper levels could be determined by looking at the lower level, the layout of the basement is most likely inconsequential to the queue and ride layout.

^Yeah. Future aerial shots should show two duplicate areas side by side in one corner. That may tell us where the entrance is going to be. I cannot tell what is going on from these wonderful yet 2D pictures. Can we get 120 people to stand the circumference and take a picture at the same time. That way we would have a matrix style 3D fly around.

Stop Work Order Issued

I issued a stop work order for project 609 for the super flat slab work being performed. A section of the slab was poured wothout the minimum required inspections being scheduled or performed by Threshold or this building department. Do not proceed with any additonal slab pours without resolution for this work that was poured without inspection. For compliance and approval from this department. The contractor must provide a third party verificaion by approved method to verify that the work done without inspection is in place and approved by the threshold inspector and the engineer of record for the structural work in place.
