Goodness this thing is looming. You feel a fraction of the height and scope in general online, but when you're right next to those 60' beams, it becomes pretty unreal.

See, I didn't think it felt all that big. I found the building to be much, much visually obstructive than I thought it would be.

Well, given the level of facade-work we have here, that visual obstruction will probably be cleanly erased with lots of sets, particularly facing the lagoon area. And because I always used to frequent the quiet space in the old SS44, seeing this behemoth was a big surprise for me.

It's sort of hard to see in the first few photos above, but there is a netting structure behind the construction walls about 16 ft high by the lagoon side.

Went to Universal this weekend, and was blown away by the sheer size of this structure. It's truly an amazing sight to see in person. This ominous mecca of steel visible from various areas of the park is pretty spectacular. You can see it from the lagoon, from Mummy, from Rockit. Can't wait for the finished product!

I talked to a few contacts I have at UOR and I'm a believer now...it will be Transformers :thumbs: apparently we can expect an official announcement either November 1st or very soon after. Universal wants the ride to be running by late June at the latest. Apparently some of the construction workers kind of blabbed to some of the maitenance crews what was going on. :rofl:

My girlfriend worked at a restaurant near UOR, and a construction worker who just got off duty blabbed everything to her. He said literally everything we were thinking was true.

I should've looked into the comment a merch area manager told me last June before SS44 was demoed. I asked why the Cyberview shop was carrying the "Universal Exclusive" TF toys and was told "only the parks that already have the TF ride or the ones who are getting it will be carrying those" Seemed kind of like useless info at the time but turns out he was being cryptic. :thumbs: I'll be at USF later and as usual if I see anything newsworthy I'll snap some pics with my phone and post them to Twitter. Although don't expect any over the wall pics :rofl: as badly as I would love to see whats on that board.

To be fair, that store kinda just carries anything sci-fi related. Seriously, I don't understand the Halo merchandise or Star Wars at a Uni park.

True..and that store has carried TFs for a while. My point was though they never carried the exclusives until last summer. Kind of like how other Universal properties don't sell WWoHP merch. You can only buy it online,on property and at OIA in their store.
