These areas are the result of cutting and rewelding the structure. I was there during this process. Like I stated earlier, someone messed up.

If it was a mistake, why put it up on the building? That just doesn't make sense to me...

The welding rectified the mistake.

The missing beam isn't a make or break thematic element, but it will be interesting to see if they go back and fix it.

It actually looks like two missing beams, both on that same section, front and back...and off to the left, it looks like they started with a piece going one direction, then moved it a different direction.

Strange indeed.

This hat channel framing will probably support some sort of graphic mounted to an aluminum substrate. Just my thought...

Those two double angles (beams as you refer to them) probably have to be re-fabbed in the shop because it looks like they shortened the diagonal structure piece to fit it to the posts coming out the side of the building. They should be reattached soon. As for the other double angle on the rear left, there is a post at the bottom left that it was in conflict with so they had to disconnect the lower part of it, swing it out of the way in order to attach the structure.

Moreover, the two they removed looks like the holes arent aligned anymore due to the modifications they made to the structure. So they may have to patch and burn new holes in the gussets (large plates) before these go back on.

Thanks for the update DH. I wonder what's going to happen on the New York side of the building since nothing has started there yet.

So, was all of this rewelding done on the ground before it was lifted?

^ Yes it was. They had the two sections on a flatbed trailer. One of the pieces was attached to a crane so they could move it around. I can tell you that the crew went up to the mounts in a man-lift and took measurements multiple times.

^ Interesting... this is the first time we have seen an obvious mistake on this project. Reminds me of when they had to rip up a large section of the stamped cobblestones in the area of the HE way back when.

Shocked it took them this long to make an obvious mistake, considering the insane time-table of this project I would have assumed more.

These guys are pros.

Why, Why of why did they have to mount Optimus on the front of the building. Kills all the work they did on the building imo...

I think it's gonna look awesome. It looks awesome in Singapore's facade to have a TF over the entrance.

Isn't there a side of the building that has nothing on it yet? If so, does anybody know what's going on that side?

Based on the steel mounts, we can assume they will continue the industrial military base theme. It would probably look weird if they decided to theme one side different from the others.

Yea, but Singapore has, you know, a facade.

(For the record, I want Optimus up now, so at least the exterior will have some sort of redeeming quality)

They don't seem to be very focused on the entrance right now for some reason. I agree ^^ ...Optimus needs to go up now! Might attract a little more attention to the site.

They're probably doing the exterior in phases. Phase 1 was the other sides of the building that share a similar theme. Phase 2 would be the entrance which will probably look a little different.
