So just to throw out a random wait time as an indicator of success, FJ posted a 25, I literally walked right on, just now. Hulk and CITH had longer lines.

That is interesting Max. Either FJ has become mega slick at loading patrons, or the franchise is temporarily waning or both. I feel confident that any wane is due to Diagon.

I would not know if TF has a lower capacity than Spidey, but the thing to remember about the lifts is that there are two of them. I just think by having two, they are not a factor in slowing the dispatch time between vehicles.

I had a TM tell me TF was more efficient, but that could mean anything...for example, not having fire brings down operational cost...anyway, I did not time anything, but on my last trip, riding Spidey not long after riding TF, I felt they got guest loaded and on their way quicker on Transformers....just a gut feeling...anyway, the TMs on TF do have a sense of urgency to get guest loaded and rolling out...

I would say with the role that the TM play when working on TF, they can get both guest to board quicker, they do their job quicker or its just an illusion as the sense of urgency could just make it seems quicker.

Its not necessarily a reflection on the rides themselves, just the general state of the parks that have not hosted the crowds that were being expected (again, measuring expectations such as budget goals, attendance predictions, and one that everyone can see, extended queues and blackout dates).

Disney is having just as much of a puzzling summer as Universal is. There's absolutely no correlation to a new attraction, and in fact I'm no longer willing to call Antarctica a flop either on higher # expectations when Disney and Universal are experiencing the same.

I think we can pretty safely drop any thought of the attraction being a let down from a #s standpoint, because something is going on across the area on a wider scale, and I'm very interested in what that is.

Over seas visitors are not visiting in large groups. Domestic tourism has been down for years. So, with over seas tourism apparently down, of course the parks are going to be less busy. Question is, how much does TEA inflate their numbers next year (as they apparently did for DHS LOL).

You're scaring me with this (I'm going on Wednesday). Please say, this was not the Express Line.

Spidey still has the higher capacity. Transformers can run a maximum of 15 RVs at 24 second intervals. Spidey can run 17 RVs at 20 seconds. (Trivia: Spidey used to be able to dispatch every 18.5 seconds with the old programing. Spidey has been known to occasionally run 18 RVs, but it's extremely rare and causes backups easily.)

Peek Summer doesn't start until the last week of July and the first two weeks of August so we'll see. But it is true that all of the parks don't seem to be having the surge everyone was expecting. Disney just lifted the maingate ban at the Magic Kingdom for cast members. That says to me their not seeing the numbers they expected either. Not sure why though. It has been more rainy in Orlando this year than the past two.

Thanks! So it does seem Spidey wins out on capacity. I'm wondering if part of my perception of TF getting out quicker could have something to do with the number of RVs. To me, it just felt like I sometimes sit in the Spidey RV a little longer after being loaded before we actually get out into the ride.

But I can see, based on your info, that if both are running optimally, Spidey will get through more guest.

I believe someone mentioned Spidey had a slighlty higher capacity because Transformers has the elevators. Dont remember who stated that but I recall that was a factor in capacity

That information is correct, Spideyfreak knows his stuff. The elevators and shorter track play a big factor in Transformers capacity.

FJ has megalong wait times in the mornings, i.e 90-120 minute waits while everything else is at a walk-on. Around 10-12 the crowds finish off at Journey and go other places. That's why you typically see FJ at a slow wait in the afternoon but Spider-Man is at a 90.

Also, FJ is super slick at capacity. 1900-2000 guests an hour is nothing to laugh at.

USF has more to do than IOA, so it's tough to compare Spidey's wait times to Transformers when the crowds are being spread out over more attractions.

Great info, thanks. I will be sure to utilze this when Im over in September. I usually head to the back of a park and work my way back to the front, usually works a treat , guess the draw of potter is just too much for some and they head staight there.

You are actually sitting longer in the RV on Spidey. TF only has one dispatch zone while Spidey has two. On TF, the RV in Load 1 goes right into the ride instead of stopping at dispatch. The RV in Load 2 has to wait for spacing.

EDIT: I think our TF does 22.5 second intervals. It's either that or 24 as I stated above.

Yes, that was the regular queue. I had to race to get ahead of them.
