The meaning of a threshold building:

What is considered a threshold building with regard to architecture?A threshold building is any building greater than three stories or 50 feet in height, or which has an occupancy classification that exceeds 5,000 square feet

I think a year round haunt would be better than transformers. Uni has enough motion simulator rides.

It's not a motion simulator. It's a dark ride.

Better for Universal, or better personally? If it's the former, that's crazy talk.

I have never in my life heard the term "threshold building". It sounds so innocuous that I wouldn't have even considered looking it up. I only know simple things like "two-story building" and how to whistle like a bird, "18 months". :look:

Well we already have a dark ride at Uni, The Mummy. And yeah I agree it would have to be a REALLY good haunt.

So because we already have one dark ride, we shouldn't get another one?

No I just think it would be cool to get something a little different. Like a year round haunt.

'Cause FJ totally sucks, being in the same park as Spidey... And Cat...

When they're of the quality Universal are turning out right now, the more the merrier!

The problem is, and this is part of the reason why it's not successful in Cali, is there is a small niche for people who want Halloween 24/7. There is a reason most horror movies get released during the fall time. A year-round haunt wouldn’t bring anywhere near the marketing and publicity that Transformers will.

Start your count on June 15, 2012 and you will come up with a more accurate execution time frame.

I figure they're going to push for a Christmas opening.

Well...they know the programming should work and everything. So unless they make mistakes during construction, I'm not to worried about delays.

Hollywood's crane was up in November 2010, and the ride started softs in April 2012, which would be about the same as getting this puppy open for Christmas.
