Huh? Not exactly sure what you're talking about.

The park is getting a ton of big additions in the next few years. If this is indeed what SS44 is becoming, it's a good addition. Parks can't be all E-tickets. Smaller experiences are needed to balance it out.

But Skull Kingdom was an additional cost and pretty lame too boot.

A permanent haunt with rotating themes could be cool. But do you really think that they can have a permanent building with exterior themeing and a haunt inside built by Sept.?

I personally have no idea. They did mention they were only demolishing a portion of the building in a press release, which we all assumed meant they were only keeping a wall in order to call the new attraction a "renovation".

Maybe they really are keeping some of it in order to have a smaller build time. I have no clue.

And, I'll put the disclaimer on now, until we get an announcement this still is just a rumor. I could be dead wrong.

OK, right. Then I am still gonna keep my fingers crossed for the GlowFoam Dance Party! (I did make up the whole foam party thing).

I love the shear diversity of rumors for this.
It's HHN Related...its a year-round haunt.
It's throwing HHN a major curveball...maybe only 6 houses this year.
It's Transformers!
Dog Face!
SNL Attraction (I actually do remember that rumor, but its been a while)

Jaws destruction had only like 2 rumors.
Same with Animal Kingdom Avatar.
2 (probably) more major developments than what we will see in SS44...but we have literally no idea what it is.

Kinda fun

Since we are speculating, I thought I might point out this site which is in BETA testing right now:

I realize this may seem unrelated to SS44. However, if Universal/Comcast is preparing to yet again start reintroducing the Classic Monster properties, perhaps the future of SS44 plays into that.

Looks like I shouldn't have doubted by friend's uncle huh? If that's the case, I wonder how off he is about 2015 being the end of Marvel there too.

If it truly is a year round haunt and its 99.9% almost confirmed, then I'll take that.

I've been ADAMANT for years that this space needed to be a year round haunt, now its just a matter of what the content will be?

Will be he a Universal classic monsters haunt and it can EASILY be tied into the existing Monsters Cafe, orrrrrr maybe it van be called Horror Nights: Legacy and have it be a sort of defacto history of the event, with rotating themes yearly.

I'd imagine that if this is indeed what we're getting, it'll have a classic monsters theme like the one in Califronia, but hopefully staffed better.

I wonder what the building will look like. Will we just be getting a nicer soundstage? So funny how close we were before Transformers derailed us. Remember the haunted soundstage talk?

I'm hoping we get a haunted house/soundstage look rather than Hollywood's castle look, personally.

Maybe a rundown looking warehouse look? Its just a matter of what the height ballon element could possibly be? Maybe a raised up platform with Frankenstein on it?

Maybe a billboard on top of the building that will serve as theming and an attraction marquee?

Well, yea. They have a house that runs all year, and then HHN in Sept/Oct like us. Apparently when it's appropriately staffed it's a decent house.

Ok I really find it hard to believe that where getting a year round haunt at UO. Why? Well lets look at this...

A&D had already had a event approved for 2012, budget, house locations, ect.. Corp approved all of that. So they must have approved of SS44 being used, hell we have seen that UO filed a permit for 44 and said it was for HHN. Which means A&D had a layout set, scenic details, make up working on mask, costuming making costumes for the maze, ect... So why all the suddenly did they get kicked out with no warning? I think a budget got approved for a new ride and this so call ride has been in the works for a while.

As much as I would love a year round haunt I just cant see them doing it here, im sorry guys but I would have to disagree on this new rumor.

Its themed to all the classic monsters and during HHN they try theming it to a specific icon such as this past years Wolfman. The house itself is decent at best. I was actually very disappointed with it overall. Its very understaffed and has numerous corridors of missed opportunities. On the positive side of things there are several rooms with some very elaborate theming including Dr Frankensteins lab which is just over the top. Also to give everyone an idea of overall theming there are several Orlando and Hollywood HHN houses that IMO are much better overall houses. If I was to rate it among all the HHN mazes I have been through I don't think it would even crack the top 20.
