Ok I really find it hard to believe that where getting a year round haunt at UO. Why? Well lets look at this...

A&D had already had a event approved for 2012, budget, house locations, ect.. Corp approved all of that. So they must have approved of SS44 being used, hell we have seen that UO filed a permit for 44 and said it was for HHN. Which means A&D had a layout set, scenic details, make up working on mask, costuming making costumes for the maze, ect... So why all the suddenly did they get kicked out with no warning? I think a budget got approved for a new ride and this so call ride has been in the works for a while.

As much as I would love a year round haunt I just cant see them doing it here, im sorry guys but I would have to disagree on this new rumor.

It very well might be a false trail given out by Universal.

But so far all legitimate insiders are saying it's not a ride and connected to HHN. The only explanation from the info I have is a year round haunt.

The thing is though UO would never toss out a false permit.. UO Creative would do the yr round haunt, not A&D

Could it be possible that this could all be trying to set something up for HHN? Like maybe this could all be kind of for show for the house that will be getting put into SS 44. It seems like way too much trouble to go through, but you never know what kind of things HHN could be cooking up.

No, the demolition is very real. Governments don't play games for entertainment events.

It would be too dangerous not to mention against fire codes and building codes to have people walking around a half building.

They wouldn't do this unless its for a purpose.

I am all in favor of the year round haunt. I think with all the big additions coming universal needs a lot more smaller attractions. This really excites me.

Ok... well this thread has died the death with news of a *yawn* spook house. Last very few posts are platitudes at best. Pathetic. Best case scenario for this (I know, I try) is that Uni bought the rights to the performance haunted hotel in NYC called Sleep No More... so that this is a walk through with live actors playing out a complicated scenario, rooms where you can look for clues etc. All who enter must wear the same mask so that everyone is anonymous (and you have to pay 10 bucks for the mask one time only). To do this it would have to offer only 2 or 3 shows per day. Sadly, it wouldn't have any nudity with blood like the NY location.

For those have not seen this, the picture alone will creep you out.

Does anybody know what they did with the Delorean and the Time Train while they're doing construction?

I don't know how people could possibly be disappointed about anything going there. Even if it's a well themed store (Spongebob Storepants) or a nice restaurant (Mythos) it's an empty building being used for a new improvement to the theme park. I'm nothing short of thrilled. My only complaint is the handling of the HHN location. With that said, money is going into this theme park, and a lot of it. This is what we've all been dreaming of since 2006.

I think the disappointment stems from the (Transformers) hype that was created when the news broke. It's like sticking a filet mignon in front of a hungry man, then pulling it away to offer him bread instead. He'll take it, but he would have loved that steak.

Even though I loved the idea of it and I recognize they'd be two completely different rides, I'm not too sore about not getting Transformers when we have Spidey-- a recently updated Spidey, at that.

Like others have said, I'm happy to see improvements and change happening the way they have been lately, and not just when it's in conjunction with a big project that's only happening to stave off competition and keep resort occupancy at an acceptable rate the way certain neighbors have been doing.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

But yeah, go Universal, excited, etc.

Backstage. Hopefully getting a nice refurb and touch-up with the downtime.

I must admit, I am kind of upset that HHN lost a potential house location because of this. What can I say? I'm a HHN FREAK! That said, still psyched to see what they turn this SS into!!

HHN will be fine. SS33 is taking over for 44. And this post is spot on. Beggars can't be choosers. We've had nothing in this space for a long, long time. Anything is an improvement.

And realistically, Transformers was probably never going in this spot. We all let the rampant internet speculation get to us. We had 0 solid info on TF.

It'd be more like speculating that the restaurant you're going to has filet mignon, even though deep down you know it won't, and then being disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Hmmmm Comcast big wigs in Uni this week? With big checks in hand? Guess it is time to start paying for the upcoming projects. :)

BTW, whylightbulb reported the bigwigs with the checks.

I don't know. I really liked those comfy benches outside of that abandoned soundstage. Really good spot for a nap.
